Next time I might suggest that you add a "No Opinion" option to each question. If you had, that's how I would have voted for all three questions.
For example, in Question 1, I don't think it makes a heck of a lot of difference which one you select. All solid handle materials are going to have pretty much the same characteristics when it comes to shock absorption. If anything, handle shape may be more important than handle material.
In Question 2, I assume Micarta or G10 would tend to outlast wood. But I have absolutely no idea which one them (Micarta or G10) would outlast the other.
In Question 3, I think comfort depends largely on the circumstances you're likely to find yourself in. A handle that's comfortable in a dry environment might be uncomfortable in a wet one. The same holds true for cold temperatures versus hot temperatures.
Just some food for thought. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thanks for the suggest <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. More than anything, I just wanted to hear people's opinions and you did that wonderfully <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.
I am not as familiar with Micarta or G-10 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. I have always owned wood, rubber or leather handles.
