so Rich you mean yours doesn't even have any tiny little "swirly" scratches from being sharpened? If there are any, my old eyes cannot see them. Later tonight I will put it under the magnifying glass and take a better look.

Although I think the Yard's logo is cool, I'm not complaining about the sterile blade. The only complaint I have is that the sheath is not included - after all, it IS a sheath knife!

There is nothing wrg with the blade i got today and it will be used hard. I just was expecting a logo for my collection."No worries" My wife ordered me a LE last night (i hope the LE has it) and when i find out if there are the black ones with a logo i will get one of thoes to keep the LE company in the safe.

I got mine today. It didn't have a logo and wasn't all that sharp but it sure could chop. After a reprofile it shaves. Great knife at a good price. I'm happy.

As promised I took a look under the magnifying glass and in bright light and I cannot see little swirls or any kind of ugly marks on the blade of my LE. There are some very light brush lines that run from the spine to the edge which I assume are left over from the polishing process. They are faint and in now way detract from the beauty of the blade.
Maybe I got lucky, or maybe my standards are not as high as some of the folks who post here but in my opinion the LE is a darn good knife and real value for the money.

I'm with you -- i think it's the best value i've seen -- i'm a huge S7 fan, and i don't know of any other production knives that use it, esp. with a Busse heat-treat... i can't ask for anything more... except maybe a satin finished SR-77 Mojo -- it's kind of depressing -- once i have one of those, it will be hard to get excited about any other knife. It might ruin me... (
