Yeah I know Sir Mortdecai, but that doesn't stop the wants. I did find an M2 Slug gun the other day. The action and overall gun sure was smooth. The LOP was a LOT more than my Weatherby's and no pistol grip. It felt cumbersome to me. Guess I am spoiled to the the shorter LOP. I know they sure do shoulder better for me. When I bring them up they only need a MINOR adjustment to be on target for me. Strange how much just a measly 1/2 LOP will make (13.5 Vs 14.0 per the specs).

My sweet spot for an upland gun is 12.75 LOP. For general use I like 13-13.5”.

Benelli has an overly long LOP at 14”. All of the 3 gunners I speak to trim the stock themselves and add a Limp Saver slip on. I’ve not tried this.

Shotgun “fit” is very personal and highly subjective. Personally, I prefer super light and very short. Someone else may want Long and heavy (lead / follow thru).

The Ruger "Ranch 30" is pretty much the rifle I wish was on the market when I bought my CZ. Now that it's here I really can't say I have a space for one. Heck if they make it in stainless I'll probably make a tiny slot for one lol. But with the CZ, AR, and AK all in X39 I just can't see adding another mouth to feed. Looks like sweet little rifle though. For me it right there with the Ruger 77/357. I know I don't need it for anything but if the stars align I would probably get one.

I picked up a couple Ravpower solar battery packs. They are nothing fancy but they can charge the new old model phone. The lights and solar panel are a cool but I got them more so to just charge my phone on the go. I hope to get into the whole solar power thing in a little bit but it's just baby steps right now.

Chainsaw filters and plugs etc are about as exciting as it gets for me at the moment. Though my new saw is a bit of a monster, it makes me smile like a kid on his first ride in a V8 !!

My 527 wasn't as accurate as most folks so I let mine go. All reports on this Ruger sound good and I like the price point. Plus, been wanting something else in this caliber for awhile and options are limited in CT.

It has not seen a great deal of work and cleaned up nicely (saws age in appearance quickly when caked with oil soaked saw dust, people thus think they are "old and worn out"). It's 72cc "professional" version of the 038. I have a hard worked 021 that just wont quit (why I love Stihl saws) but wanted something a little bigger (around an 034) but got a decent price on this saw with two bars (16 and 20) seven chains (4x16 and 3x20) plus a large quality toolbox, Oregon guided sharpener (file not electic) a metric shyte tonne of files and some other spares and accessories.

Nice 'Wing BTW - what year ?
