The vests, belts, and pouches came in over the past couple weeks. I've been tying to get it all setup. It's a BlackHawk Elite vest I found online for $30. I set it up for a quick response for extreme events. I doubt I'll ever need it for a serious event but it didn't make sense to have all the gear and not actually be prepared. A vest is the quickest way I can imagine to get gear on me and accessible. I promise I'm not trying to be a ninja.

four 17 round pistol mags
four 20 round rifle mags
flashlight
fixed blade knife
A medical pouch I need to setup.
A large utility pouch that will serve as a dump pouch.

Gloves and a small survival kit live in the utility pouch.
I will take them out and strapped them on if needed.

The idea is if an extreme event occurs I can respond fast. I'll have good, better, and best options. The vest is good option that gets me out the door fast. I will also have the option to grab a backpack and/or duffle bag that will be setup as a sort of bug out bag and a survival bag. Better and best will be if I can grab two or more of the three. If there is some type of disaster I would likely grab either the backpack or the duffle bag. I'm also thinking I should make a pandemic kit now.

I actually got two vests and will rig the second on up the same just with only pistol mags.

If you have other people to tend to I think a tactial vest is a good option for them.

Goes on like clothes and can go on under or over clothes. It also can also be setup with as much or more storage capacity as a backpack. A vest also offers customization, accessibility, and versatility.

Might be something to think about.

Also those outrigger belts came in. As I suspected the small was way too small. But as I also suspected those belts are way over engineered so while it's too small for me to use as an outrigger belt there is plenty of material for me to use it as regular gun belt. On me the end loops back through the buckle with about 5 or 6 inches of material through it. That does't reach the factory sewn in loop material but that's plenty to sew in my own (or not).

As long as I resist that urge to rappel down to my truck every night I should be in good shape.

But I did find some large US made outrigger belts for $10. So rappelling is still in cards!

Can't post deals we find... But of course if anybody wasn't to look at any of this stuff I will gladly share through PM.

Forgot I bought (well I will when the mail runs tomorrow) 2 Spec Ops Short Combat Master sheaths from a Dog that has a TON of gear he is selling off. Almost everything is brand new or at least looks like it is. I am happy. Don't worry, no happy dance this evening. There may be children near the computer.

Got Patty an iPad Pro today. Her old ipad Mini gen 4 is not doing to well, plus it is getting harder for her to see some things on the screen. So I just figured I would spend some of Y'alls tax money on my Sweetie. I mean after all, I have a Kelty pack and a Sword and companion blade coming next week.

I hope she enjoys it Skunk.

I'm still rocking the old IPad 2. All I do is browse the web and watch YouTube with it so until it can't do that any more then there won't be any upgrades there.

I do sort of wish I had gotten a laptop that can double as a tablet but ended up buying a Dell gaming laptop. It works but, rolleyes

She really didn't want me to spend the money, but she had to "make do" with cheaper things all her life growing up and also with her first husband, while he got what he wanted. I wasn't brought up that way and want her to have the finest that I can provide for her. BUT she has a good head on her shoulders and doesn't really ask for much.
