This idea isn't original to me. Nutnfancy does this to fans when they approach him in public. Basically, he checks them to see if they're carrying the essentials.
Therefore, lets see what you're carrying when you read this!

Here's my EDC pocket dump .... + RFID protected wallet + Streamlight flashlight + Les Baer 45Acp with (2) reloads + Spyderco PM2 + Keys I didnt' take my holster off my belt. Its a Desantis MadMax (poor man's Milt Sparks VersaMax 2....in fact I sold my VM2 when I bought the MadMax because the Desantis was more comfortable).

That is a nice looking holster. IF I had seen that I probably wouldn't have gotten my VM2. Then again hardly anyone had a holster for the Sig P239. Oh well it's water under the bridge. MY "Loadout" consists of SCCY 9mm with a 10 round reload, sometimes 2(usually, unless I am belt carry then it will be my Ruger 45 Commander length. 1 Maratac AAA in my pocket all the time, and a Fenix single AA in my Murse. Emerson Mini CQC15 for HOPEFULLY never needed Social work Spyderco Alycone, my Sheeple blade (and sometimes the Tenacious as well), And a Marciada/Bastenelli Pika K-bit around my neck. Vehicle keys Mandatory Man Bag, for medical necessitates plus some other items I just like having on hand, Phone charger and cord, pen paper Check book debit card etc. (think a woman's purse but stocked for a man) Oh and my fidget spinner. It's a small one though

I have a man purse too, but I don't carry it into the grocery / on my person ... its really a "from the house to the vehicle ... from the vehicle back to the house" bag.
That's probably another topic for another thread... "Whats in your Possibles Bag?".

There are some times where I just grab the checkbook (doubles as a wallet for me) and leave my bag in the vehicle. BUT I usually carry my CCW in the bag and don't like leaving it in the car and being without it (you can call me Linus with an attitude).
Hey Arch, how do you like the PM2? I've heard it's a good one just wasn't sure if I wanted to fork out the bucks considering how enamored I am with my Emerson CQC15, the Mini. Yeah I know lots of folks don't like emerson but I've never had a complaint with any of his products and I have 10 of them. Oh well to each his own. I am about to order a Spiderco CAT. I think it will be a good little Sheeple blade to go with either my Alcyone or Tenacious. Don't worry though, the Emerson will still be in or clipped to my pocket for those times when there is a breakdown of social attitudes and a firearm can't be carried.

I like the PM2. Typical Spyderco quality, but I would prefer a lock back.

A lock back, really? I thought a lock back would be more prone to fail let the blade close on your hand.

I have one of those Vaquero Grande (I think) Serpentine blades that is fully serrated. It came as a freebee with something I ordered somewhere.

OK, I have finally (I think) settled on the items I'll be carrying in my Jumbo Maxped. So far I have
24oz insulated SS water bottle. I wanted a 32oz but can't find one locally. Oh well, this one works. It is not only for drinking water, but for wetting the Cooling Towel I carry for Patty (she literally does not sweat) in case she starts getting to hot.
The aforementioned Cooling Towel
"Emergency" meds. Tylenol, Tums, Meclizine(Dizzy pill, she has Vertigo a lot), Odansetron (generic Zofran, strong anti- nausea medicine), Benadryl, Ibuprofen. This handles most of our "Crisis" situations.
Epi Pen (Her throat will just start swelling shut). Usually Benadryl will take care of it, but if not...
6 individual bags of instant coffee (Sorry Ray) splenda mixed together.
Glucose meter, lancets and lancet holder for the both of us
Lip balm
Bandana
Half a dozen Throat lozenges
Small bottle of hand sanitizer (Germ X)
Ink pin and small note pad
Checkbook that doubles as my wallet
Tweezers
Metal Tooth pick
Spare keys for vehicle and house
A Sacajawea dollar coin Patty gave me in Dec 1999, a month before they were supposed to come out.
Two chargers and cords for iPhone/iPad
Leatherman Wave Multitool
8 foot tape measure (used more than you would think)
Titanium spoon, fork, knife.
Fenix 1AA flashlight (I always have a Maratac 1AAA light in my pocket.
And actually in my pocket on one side I carry my Spyderco PM2 (which has taken the place of my beloved Emerson) and in the other pocket I carry a Spyderco Tenacious or Alcyone (that may change to a Para 3 before long though) as my Sheeple blade. Oh and I also have the Spyderco CAT always inside my pocket, not clipped to it. That is such a sweet little blade to "Play" with.
Plus a couple personal items I have to keep with me all the time.
All that in the various pouches on the outside, and the main compartment isn't even half full. I had everything but 2 chargers/cords, the coffee, the cooling towel and the insulated thermos in my fatboy but it was FULL! The Jumbo just makes carrying everything less crowded and it actually seems easier to carry.
Emerson fixed blade Karambit or my Schrade model SCH111 Karambit.
Oh and I switched out the SCCY 9mm the other day for my Ruger LC9 with integral laser sight and 2 spare mags.
I know, but believe it or not I have used most everything in the bag on more than one occasion so I consider it weight well carried.

I’m guessing the personal items are fruit roll ups and fairy wings.

My wife keeps an eight foot tape measure in her purse. I’m amazed at how many times we’ve used the tape. Next time a vendor gives me one of those cheap promotional little tapes ... it’s going in my Jumbo possibles bag.

Randy, Remember you can’t boil water (safely) in an insulated bottle. The air pressure between the two steel layers can cause it to explode when exposed to high heat.

Randy, Remember you can’t boil water (safely) in an insulated bottle. The air pressure between the two steel layers can cause it to explode when exposed to high heat. Well crap. I answered this and hit the wrong button and POOF, it was gone. This bottle is only for drinking water or to use so I can soak the cooling towel in case Patty gets to hot. I keep a pathfinder 40oz canteen with the old style GI cup it fits down in. It also has the same shaped "Stove". It's all strapped to my Malaga that gets moved from vehicle to vehicle as needed. Mine is like this without the fire starter, spork and container "Holder". Mine also has a different kit holder. https://www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/collections/mess-kits/products/campfire-survival-cooking-kitI picked up mine at Smoky Mountain Knife Works a couple three years ago.

Across the pond we made do with canteens and canteen cups. If you have a metal canteen you can heat it up as well as the cup.

USGI canteen cups are great. Super stout and wide enough at the base to be stable on less than perfect perches.
I had a WW2 era metal canteen but it was too valuable to use. Sold it to a collector.

Ray, I have seen videos of folks boiling water in a plastic water bottle. Even though I have seen it work my little Redneck brain just can't get around it working without melting.

I watched Cody Lundeen boil water in a plastic two liter bottle. It has something to do with keeping the plastic far enough way from the flame to prevent melting while the "radiant heat" makes the water boil.
At least that was my take away, but I'm just some dumb guy that designs buildings and day dreams about moving back to a farm.

YUP, he said as long as you didn't let it get in the flames, as you said let the radiant heat do the work you could boil the water without the plastic melting. Personally I would rather use a metal container. Using plastic to boil water over an open fire just seems so wrong.

I vaguely remember the techniques of using flammable containers for cooking but I never was seriously interested in them. One misstep and your container is gone. Too big of a loss in a survival situation, better to have a metal container in the first place.

Ray, you are SO right! You can actually boil water in a paper cup if you keep it out of the flames. But as you said, why take the chances in a survival situation? People don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan.

Haha, or SKUNK week. Well I will soon have a different edc Sheeple blade, maybe, depending on how well I like it.
I ordered a Para 3 folder from a certain Arachnid company. I'm really looking forward to it.

My Pockets? Now days what with having a "Man bag" all I carry in my pockets are a Maratac copper aaa flashlight, in my front left pocket (along with the Spyderco Military right now), a cotton bandana in my rear pocket and Spyderco PM2 clipped to my right front pocket with the Para 3 IN the pocket. Now all the other stuff I carry is in my Maxped Jumbo.
It includes right now my Ruger LC9 with CT LG14 red laser sight. At times I will swap off and carry my Sig P239 .40 in the winter time. In the summer I carry a 24oz water bottle in the outside carrier.
I also carry assorted meds and a Glucose meter for us along with some coffee/sugar packets and other "Suburban" necessities, to include two phone chargers and cords and a charger for my fit bit. I also carry a Titanium set of Spoon/knife/fork, and an 8ft tape measure. I also carry an additional bandana in it along with keys metal tooth pick a mini "fidget" spinner along with my cell phone. Oh I have a set of tweezers as well for splinters or what ever purpose they could prove useful for. Oh and I carry a tube of lip balm too. Oh and most important an Epi-Pen for Patty. Those things ain't cheap. For two (comes two to a box) cost us $11.00! If it wasn't for my military insurance we wouldn't be able to afford our drugs. Combined we don't make enough money to pay retail for the medications we have to take each month.
Best as I can recollect that's my "Loadout".
