This is strange. I picked up my Dad's ashes Friday and on the way home I stopped for fish and chips. When I got home I'm going through his stuff looking for the Spyderco knife he always carried and I kept finding receipts for times we had gone out together for FISH AND CHIPS! In total I found four different receipts for different restaurants, but it was always the same order. He'd have prawns and I'd have a 3 piece fish and chips.
It's not like we always had fish and chips, maybe 6-7 times in the last ten years. The only receipts I found last night were for fish and chips restaurants we went to together. I'm thinking I shoulda ordered some prawns with my 3 piece meal.
He also used to tell me he'd wake up at 4:44am every morning and then go back to sleep. Almost every day since he passed two weeks ago I hear him call my name in the morning and it wakes me up. It's always 4:44am.
Saturday morning I heard him say, "I'm going to bed" It was 4:44am.
The mind does weird things sometimes. There is so much to take care of and I'm exhausted.
