All,

It's been a terrible week. My mother broke her hip, and for a few days we thought we were going to lose her any moment, due to the shock on her system.

My mom is dying. We've known that for about a month. Could be anytime, probably inside a year. She had only hoped to live out her last days at home, able to get around as normal.

Today, she is going in for surgery to remove the broken bone and replace her hip. While it's a fairly routine operation, my mother's liver and kidneys are failing and she has anemia, among other concerns. There is a good chance she won't survive the surgery for any number of reasons.

To that end any prayers, smoke, or positive energy anyone here might be inclined to send on her behalf that she might survive the surgery and heal quickly so she can enjoy her remaining days in peace, would be greatly appreciated. We've experienced many miracles in relation to this incident already, but this is the biggest one we're asking for yet.

I believe that miracles do happen.

You have my prayers and thoughts as you and your Mom face this journey. Be strong and remember that this brotherhood is pulling for you

I agree with Dan. You have the prayers of Patty and myself in this and ALL things. You have been a brother and a friend and our prayers are with you, that GOD may grant your requests.

Thanks. Things have taken an unexpected turn for the worse. She's dying. She'll pass on within a few hours. No idea what happened…it's just her time. Now all we're praying for is that my kids get here before she passes.

She isn't able to speak. My dad had told the docs to cease care, per her wishes. I had a strong feeling I needed to ask her if she wanted to see the kids first. She was lucid for the first time and said "YES!" My wife and kids are on a plane to get here now and we are trying to help her remain in this life for just a while longer.

It's so hard to watch her suffer and know she's only holding on to see her grandchildren one last time. This hurts so bad.

Thank you all. At 1110 this morning, my mother passed away peacefully. After decades of pain, struggling with RA, autoimmune hepatitis, and a host of other diseases and problems, she is finally at peace, where no pain can touch her, or illness harm her. My angelic mother has now gone home to her Father to see all of her loved ones who have gone before, and await her reunion with the loved ones from whom she has temporarily parted.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. In the end, our most fervent prayers were that God would welcome her home. She died peacefully, surrounded by her husband and children. While I am grateful my prayer was answered, there is still a massive and painful ache in my heart that will take a long time to heal.

Again I'm so sorry Josh. But Personally I feel as if you have the right attitude. It is always difficult, but if we are strong in our faith it gives us strength that we need in this our great time or sorrow.

May GOD guide, bless and protect you and yours always, and give you the strength that you need to continue on.
