Evidently they can not 100% verify it is Cancer without a biopsy, something that she refuses to do, in addition to NOT getting any treatment but the mass in her lung has grown from 2cm to 8cm in just shy of 4 months.

Patty's Mom is NOT doing well. She is having hallucinations. Once she got up at about 3am thinking an aid at the nursing home had came to get her to go smoke. The aid in question had left at 11pm. She is having trouble keeping food down sometimes and has been spitting up blood a few times. She is 82 and says she has lived a long life and is tired.

Please pray for Her and especially Patty.

Thank you dogs.

Thank you guys. This is one of the things that makes this such a wonderful place. Folks we don't even know (well not really) giving us encouragement and well wishes, prayers, and we KNOW it is not just lip service.

Found out today that the MIL has been accepted into Hospice care. And based on their "interview" they are guessing about 2 months, but that they can't of course tell for sure, but based upon their work and the amount of folks they have cared for they think their estimate will be pretty close.

Shirley Has lived a hard 82 years so far. Her and Glendale (Glen) had 4 kids, three girls and one son. Her oldest daughter died back in 2000 of colon cancer and her Husband died in 2008 from not taking care of his Diabetes and predominately a bleeding ulcer.

It's been rough on Patty and she and her mother have gotten closer these past couple of years. Patty is a timid soul and has a heart as big as all outdoors.

Randy, I'm so sorry for the trial you and Patty are embarking on. It's so incredibly hard to live through. Prayers sent, for you, Patty, and her mother. It sounds like Mom is ready to go. I don't grudge her that. After 82 years she's earned her freedom. It doesn't make it any easier on Patty or you though. My heart is breaking for you both. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Today at 0943 the Mother In Law passed. She only struggled for a couple hours with VERY labored breathing. Every time she breathed the whole bed would shake. Weirdest thing I have seen. Then that stopped and she started shallowly smooth breathing. The Hospice nurse said that Patty and I needed to "Call the family". We did then I went down the hallway and told "The Girls" that if they wanted to say goodby to Shirley they should go on down to her room. EVERYONE there (except for two working with patients) headed down.

Once every one was there the head or nursing said for Patty to Pray, and she did. Within seconds after Patty finished the prayer Shirley's eyes came open and she stopped breathing.

Now for the part I am not sure I understand. Shirley had Cataracts and couldn't see very well. When she opened her eyes, she was looking up about the wall/ceiling juncture and her eyes were crystal clear! PLUS they were the prettiest shade of a paler blue you have ever seen. She had dark brown eyes.

Patty is doing well, at least for now, but Please pray for her as she IS a gentle soul.

Thanks Guys

Randy
