I agree capitalism makes the world go around and im fine with that. I'm sure you can still make plenty of profit on a Scrapyard knife that costs around $150.00. I like capitalism but when these companies get greedy is what I dont like. I guess thats why I cant even remember the last Busse kin knife i bought. I think its been at least 6 years since I bought a Busse/kin knife. Plus it dont help since all their knives in the past several years look like fantacy knives that Budk is selling which i couldnt see any practical use out of them.

I'm glad last year when I recieved my Randall knife I ordered 5 years ago, super nice knife and worth every penny and worth the wait.

FIVE YEARS! I couldn't imagine waiting even half that long, for any kind of product. But I do agree, Randall knives ARE nice, at least the one I ALMOST bought way back in about 1985 was.

I have mentioned this before, but I will mention it again. A few years ago when Jerry Busse hosted a seminar at the " Blade University" at the Blade show, he talked about when he first started selling knives. He said one of his biggest problems was determining how much to charge for his knives. One of the "old timers" told him that his knives were worth "whatever the customers were willing to pay for them". As long as folks are willing to pay, prices will continue to rise. Just keep in mind that Busse is a USA made product, employing US workers and has an outstanding warranty.

Many of his offerings have been priced out of my reach, but apparently there are plenty of folks with all kinds of expendable cash. Good for them I guess; I just don't have Randy's money. whistle.......................................... grin

My grandpa used to say some guys have more money than brains, but if you can afford a $950.00 knife then go for it. Im sure glad some guys can buy knives that expensive. I think the most expensive knife I ever bought was from the blade show think around 2010/2011 was a Busse satin FBM with yellow/black G-10 handles, think I paid $695.00 for it, beautiful knife. I couldnt see myself ever using it so I sold it to a buddy of mine for what I paid for it.
