I have a Tan HACK and love it. Slices like there is no tomorrow. WOW, never seen a 311 with that blade color before.

More I think about it the more I am pretty positive if I could have ONE and ONLY one blade it would be as I mentioned before my Chophouse Lean cut. Like I've said before I have a VERY similar blade shaped knife like the chophouse and I have used it for just about anything you could think of. Was it always ideal for what I was doing, no, but it did get the job done. And THAT is what matters. If you are going into a TEOTWAWKI situation you will need something that you can cut down that is more than 3 or 4 inches thick. AND you will need to process a lot of wood for one thing or another. Can a shorter blade do it, sure it can. Bushcrafters prove that all the time. But a larger blade can do it better. Is a big blade good for skinning out game animals or fish? Not really it's forte, but it can accomplish the task, and once again THAT is what is important. All this being said I WOULD still like to have my Muppy with me.  My Moderator Mud Mutt or 411 would work but I really really like the Mud Puppy.

Now if we are talking folders:
The Justin Gingrich GTI Large Folder. The ZT 0909 would also be in the running. But I would lean more toward the GTI. Man I like that knife. I must as I have both the large and small model. If the small only had a 2.75 inch blade instead of the 2.50 it would be a lot better IMHO.

Well, he hasn't done anything wrong here and is welcome.  I agree with Tom. IF someone was banned somewhere else and comes here and BEHAVES themselves and contributes favorably to the forum, I don't have a problem with them. I don't have any problem with him either. In fact, I met him in person at the Golden Manor / Knob Creek sale many moons ago. Came off as a nice enough chap. Was only shining a torch on his bona fides. Carry on ... time for a spot of tea.

Havn't done this in a while, but if you could have one fixed blade, what would it be? What about if you could only have one folder?
Fixed blade = Busse NMFSH Varient
Folder = Benchmade 760 (Bob Lum folding tanto)
Those are my two choices, try to get some pics of them up sometime. Wow the anguish this question causes LOL I love a 7 - 9" blade maybe with a Mudder or War Dog style handle...bigger of course ummm is that possible? I wonder Whats a folder LOL Dan

I would choose my beloved S4 and an Emerson, any Emerson. I would carry an S4 as well, ANYTIME instead of a folder, alas I do not have an S4. Finally got ONE of my Grail blades, an S6. But I always miss the S4 when It comes up. Heck, I would probably give up any of my emersons, Spydercos ZT and MAYBE even one of me Chris Reeve folders.
