My post did not post? I highly recommend both the large and small folders. You can buy them from Justin or Kizer(as I think the GTI Hunter). For a "Survival Folder" or just a general all around use do almost anything folder they would be hard to beat in my opinion. Of course I can't speak for the vast majority of "Survival" blades out there, the GTI folders (both the large and the small one) are really great knives.

Well, lucky for me, I don't ever have to end up with only one. I do have some favorites. I've thought about this more, and would still pick ... Fixed Blade ... Swamp Rat RMD Folding Blade ... Spyderco PM2 ...the OP didn't say wouldn't couldn't have an axe or hatchet therefore my fixed blade doesn't have to be huge. Its not the size of the knife ... its how long you can use it in the field.

ER, Liu Kang, the Hairy Carry was a Swamp Rat release, not Scrap Yard, though they are ALL Bussekin.

I agree with Tom. IF someone was banned somewhere else and comes here and BEHAVES themselves and contributes favorably to the forum, I don't have a problem with them.
