Let me just leave the Busse's on order out of this (as I may have to acknowledge the $$s I owe them )... Just paid for a CRK Sebby21. A folding sleep mate (I have inflatables but am experimenting). Some silicon "gun socks" for all the rifles along the "back row" of my safe that don't get fished out often enough . Also going to order a Lone Wolf "multi-tool" for my Glock.

Looks like we're all having a lot of fun!
Andy, at some point you should post a picture of your 4,572,823,813 member ASH collection along with the other 534,546 inches of INFI you have holding Australia in place.

Not much here. I've managed to avoid ordering any of these "operation 2 weeks" offerings. The only thing I have on order is a custom shop RMD that I ordered before operation 2 weeks began. I almost ordered the MS ergo, then I chickened out.

I assumed you had a room in your home dedicated exclusively for ASH1 storage. I guess you might need two rooms by now?

Congrats on the house. Been thru that quite a few times. Stressful, but exciting.
Bought some different mag pouches for my battle belt last night.

I caught the scope bug back in November and been buying stuff since.
SWFA SS 1-4x24 IOR 4x32 Meopta Artemis 2000 4x32 Vortex Viper HSLR 2.5-10x32 (x2)
I found a 30mm Warne RAMP mount and stuck a Viper on my SCAR. I will sooner or later get a Anschutz RX22 so the other Viper goes on it. Just waiting on the RX22 to go back on sale.
I ended up getting a CTK Precision rifle rest and Wheeler scope mounting kit to do a better job on mounting scopes and sighting everything in. I'm not happy with the CTK for the price but it works.
I ordered a FNH TSR in .300 wsm that will be here late February. I will be putting my Swarovski Z6 2.5-15x56 on it. At half the price of the CZ UHR I had planned to get I think I will be just as happy with it. I was looking to ding my "sniper rifle" fantasy and still end up with a more than capable hunting rifle. I wasn't stuck on any caliber but I like .300 sizes and wanted something with more reach and smack than .308. My cousin bought a Sako in .300 ask last year so I figured we could swap ammo until we find what works best. This caliber might actually lead to me reloading at some point.
I will be picking up a Yugo SKS and five Tapco 20 round mags any day now. It was fairly cheap and I like the 7.62x39 round but won't hunt like my CZ527 and its not as mean as my SLR-101 so it may be a project gun or just a plinker. I have a Russian Vomz 8x56 scope I may stick on it and call it a "boar sniper" or something lol. I picked up a S30V Kershaw Blur to replace the S60V Blur that a guy dropped in the reservoir a year or so ago. It cuts but this is the dullest Kershaw knife I have ever gotten.
The last month or so I have been upgrading my hunting clothes. I found some nice deals on Amazon. Ended up with a 5.11 Taclite pro pants and shirt in Realtree. Nice but velcro sucks for hunting gear so I will be removing some of it. I also found a nice quality fleece jacket, rain proof windbreaker, and lightweight ripstop pullover all in Realtree.
I have been on a rainy day hunting gear kick since I got rained out on a trip last year. I bought and returned a bunch of rain gear that was all way too big and way too noisy for any sort of hunting. I finally found a set of Helly Hanson Impertech bibs on Cabela's website for $20. And wouldn't you know I go on a hunting trip and it rained the whole day... But the weather I checked before I left was 2.5 hours north of where I hunt where it was bone dry so I left them at home. Luckily the 5.11 pants and pullover did okay and I found enough cover to hunt the whole day on the rain.

Thank you everyone for the congrats. Two of the biggest selling points on this new house (for me at least) is that my back yard literally backs up to 27,000 acres of a National Wildlife Refuge and my property has a freshwater spring on it.

With the Australian firearms ban, I would think anything weapon related would have to be found in the sunny meadow where the unicorns live.

Yes the laws are very different to the US... but there is no "Total Ban" as is often touted in the US. And we ar enot at all like the UK. Semi rifles shotguns and pump shotguns are highly restricted (not totally banned as I have friends who own all three legally. All other action types of rifle and shotgun are not difficult to own. All firearm are registered. Handguns you need them either for occupation (security industry) or competition, I have mine for the later. This is a link to one of the places I shop (via mail order). https://www.cleaverfirearms.com/

I should add that when semi rifles were banned many people moved to long range precision firearms. And that since the "buy-backs" of 1996 and 2002, the ownership of legally held arms has increased.

A modified .300Win case for my Hornady Lock n Load OAL gauge, a Lee Factory Crimp die for the same (did I mention that already) and some freeze dried meals in different flavours so me and my mate can taste test and agree on the 2x servings to share while in the bush.

DT, PLEASE let me know what you think of the Spitfire. I ALMOST ordered a lucid HD7 gen III but then found the ar15 spitfire scope by vortex (due out this summer). I HAD intended on getting the spitfire so any info about how it actually works would be appreciated.

I love it Randy. It's nicer than the other red dots in that it still works even if the battery is dead. Also prefer the circle and dot vice the simple dot. Would prefer the 3x for a shotgun or 458 sight, but for an unmagnified one, it was on sale for $178 shipped at Midway which is the only reason I got it--sold my SPARC to fund it. Vortex optics are fantastic, AND they have the lifetime warranty. I haven't seen the Lucid in person so can't speak to it, but if you can catch the Vortex on sale for $150-180, I'd jump on it. Midway or palmettostatearmory are your best bets.

Thanks to a kind gift I'm now interesting in "nice" folders. This means I had to try a ZT. Bought a ZT 0350.

Just ordered a new 3 Way (12V/240/Gas) camping fridge. I finally gave up on my old one last year (it was really only the 12v that was shot but I could not fight it anymore !!).

And what do you think Arch?
I bought a lot of rough cut dried lumber to build my house with this summer, and traded a trap shotgun that I couldn't hit any clay with for a new xd45 mod2.

Product Information
Kizer Cutlery, 3416A2, 2.5 in S35VN Drop Point Blade, Linerlock, Green Handle Folder
After almost loosing the tip on the Christmas blade the grand kids got me I thought I should maybe find something else to carry all the time and reserve that blade for special occasions.

The new camping fridge arrived last night. Unpacked and happily running (down to freezing) overnight. I am away for a few days this weekend so it will get a run then, not on 12v thought as I need to do some wiring in my truck to accomodate it. I could do a fast job (that is safe and works) or a a good job that I am happy with, I will go with the second option but just don't have time to do it before I leave Friday.

Andy, Sorry if I missed this, but what is the power source for the fridge?
Gun Dog, I shoot rather large quantities of Wolf Classic and Black Box (polymer coated / steel case 223) and have never had a problem. I'm curious to see how your Gold performs, because I have a piston AR that doesn't like Wolf Steel Case. I need to try a Carbine buffer in it before I start spending extra cash on brass case ammo (currently has a H2 buffer).
I've probably shot in excess of 10,000 rounds of polymer coated / steel case Wolf and outside of: A) being very dirty; B) being on the weak side; C) providing 2-3 MOA accuracy its great training ammo. I often chide "steel case haters" who spout off the standard "would you put 89 octane in a Ferrari" line. The fact is, Wolf steel case will pay for itself very quickly:
SHIPPING COSTS OMITTED
Wolf Steel Case / Polymer Coated 55gr = $225/1000 PRVI Brass Case 55gr = $320/1000 Federal 193 = $400/1000
Using the cheap brass case as a comparison:
BCM MidLength Upper with Charging Handle & Bolt Carrier = $585
Cost Difference B/T Steel & Cheap Brass = $95/1000
$585 / $95 = 6.16 Cases
Every 6.2 cases of steel case ammo funds a whole new upper.
Brass Case For Training = Fools Gold

BTW: If you don't overheat your barrel, your standard mid-quality upper will last 6-10k rounds before accuracy degrades....
4150 barrels = 10-12k Hammerforged = 12-15k Nitrided = 20k PLUS
These figures strongly favor Wolf steel case ammo. Also, steel case is "weaker" and resents less strain and wear.
The only potential downside to steel case ammo:
1) Sticky extraction for non-chrome or nitrided chambers; 2) Increased extractor wear (these are CHEAP). I've never had one break, BTW. 3) Bi-metal jacketed bullets could theoretically increase barrel wear. HOWEVER, nitriding and chrome lining should negate this (if there is any scientific evidence to prove this happens). Also, Federal (Lake City as in the provider of ammo to our military) is now using "bi-metal" jackets for "Nato" rifle ammo....
XM80CL = copper washed steel jacket. XM80CL = full metal jacket. XM80C = bi-metal jacket design. XM80C = full metal jacket. XM80CL = full metal jacket. XM80CL = full metal jacket. XM80CS = full metal jacket. XM80CL = copper plated. XM80CL = bi-metal jacket design. XM80CS = full metal jacket. XM80C = full metal jacket. XM80CL = full metal jacket. XM80CL = full metal jacket.
The "real" issue with Wolf steel case: its training ammo - not match or defense ammo if you want 1-1.5MOA capable fodder.

The repeated codes aren't a mistake. I think the duplicates are a result of Federal's multiple packaging facilities (one in Lake City, MO and one in Anoka, MN).

Gun Dog, I wasn't knocking your choice. I have uses for "better" ammo too. I was pointing out to EVERYONE not to be afraid of steel case ammo.
I'm going to revise my 10,000 round number. I've shot 2,000rds in the past month...and have been shooting steel case since the early 1990's.
I've probably fired 10-15,000rds of steel case 223, and another 3,000rds of steel case 7.62x39mm.
I do always shoot brass case 7.62x51mm.

Andy, Sorry if I missed this, but what is the power source for the fridge? 240v Mains Power (it's running at home now) 12v for vehicle (need to add a dedicate 6amp cable and relay as it will melt a lighter socket supply(I will add a switch as well on the dash) Propane Gas in the bush (I get around 7 days from a 3kg bottle).

My reason for interest as well, not sure why the piston ARs don't like the steel cased.

It's underpowered. My POF has a Carbine buffer and runs fine. My LWRCs have H2 and fail to cycle. That tells me it's not getting enough gas (underpowered).
The POF also has E2 Extraction which probably helps.

There have been zero failures to extract or eject. Many failures to cycle enough to pick up another round.

I just ordered a Radical Firearms AR in 7.62x39. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.a...+7.62X39+FGS-12+Rifle&search=RadicalFor $500 it's already setup the way I want it for most part. I was planning on going with a PSA upper and lower but factor in the cost of the changes I would have to make and the RF rifle is the better deal. My plan for now is to a SWFA 1-4x24 on it and see how it stacks up against my CZ527 as a hunting rifle.

That makes sense Arch and yeah thats what mine does as well just doesn't pick up another round. I wonder if it would be detrimental to put a lighter buffer in it.

Yeah for that price pretty hard to pass one up Lazi especially since you are already invested in the round.

Got a single mag carrier for my PX4 Saturday. Actually pretty neat. It's one piece of Kydex folded over and shaped (skeletonized). I will try and get up a pic in the next day or two. I think it's a pretty good deal for $15.00. It's thick Kydex so it should last.

That makes sense Arch and yeah thats what mine does as well just doesn't pick up another round. I wonder if it would be detrimental to put a lighter buffer in it. I've tried a H buffer and it helped some. Next trip I plan to try a Carbine buffer.

You'll probably like the Sig's accuracy. Every one I've owned has been accurate. They've all been 100% reliable except 40SW P229 when they first arrived on the market.

I've tried a H buffer and it helped some. Next trip I plan to try a Carbine buffer. I will be waiting to hear how it goes, I don't have any on hand at the moment or I would give it a try myself. I took inventory the other day and I have enough barrels and etc.. to build 3 more ARs but I will have to buy about one guns worth to put them together. LOL I could build one out of the three but I have specific plans for all of the parts and they (in my head) don't go together.

Today I was given digital camo (Marpat ?) gear by a trooper. 1. Pair of elbow pads 2. 5 Molle II pocket medic bags. 3. 1 Improved First Aid Kit bag 4. 2 Improved IFAK inserts They've never been used, Not bad for freebies!
I know I will keep the IFAK and at least one of the inserts.

Randy, If the pattern has black it's likely MARPAT. Definitely not bad for free!

Lazi, I'm anxious to hear your evaluation once you have a chance to try out that rifle.

Sheesh, all these new patterns of camo. When I was in we had basically Olive Drab, regular old style camo and Tiger Stripe. I personally thought the tiger stripe was the nicest. Oh and they started issuing Desert Camo a few years before I got out.

Randy, I'm one of the ACU (Awful Camo Universally) haters. Have you thought about using RIT dye on any of your gear? I've seen interesting results.

That pattern isn't my favorite, but I can live with it. It will just be added to the group. Right now I have kind of an od sage green, flat dark earth (brown) and regular (Old style) jungle camo pattern. Oh and some black. Basically what I can find that I like (for the price I like). I figure I'll blend in now no matter WHAT the climate/territory I might find myself in if it all hits the fan in my lifetime.

So the SKS and RF AR-15 in x39 at here.
At $235 and $520 ($20 FFL fee) I think I did okay. A guy already offered to buy my SKS for more than I paid for it. Not selling yet though... And I don't see how anybody could put a x39 AR together for less than what I paid for this one. At least not with the railed handguard, ergo grip, magazine, and case. If these shoot okay and don't cost me any more than what it takes to dress them and feed them then I'll be a happy camper.

For clothing I keep: woodland, multicam, OD, OD Sage, Coyote Brown and dark blue. I figure these or combinations of these will address every environment I'm likely to find. I would like to try ATACS FG. For gear I keep: 99% Coyote Brown. I do have some woodland, OD, and multicam bits. For packs: coyote brown, multicam, foliage green.

ATACS (original) works well in the West of my state or in summer. I think the FG version would work really well in the greener parts but there I use multicam (or the Brit or Aussie versions of this).

Noooo..... the exchange rate is horrible !!! The cases cost $72, the projectiles $46 the harness $15 and the tray $17, so not too bad. You should see the list I would have if I was rich

Thanks. I've owned lotsa 22s but this is my first 10/22. I gifted my bolt action 22 to my nephew for Christmas and found myself 22 rifle-less. I'm already thinking of ways to customize it.

I SHOULD be buying ammo. I'm shooting more again, but not replenishing my supplies. The BWM is a really nice blade Gary. I have had one for a few years now and it is perhaps the best chopper I have after the 1311. When I got mine the "Grooves" in the handle were kinda sharp, but they wear down pretty quick into just enhancing the gripability.

My above statement is regarding the 10/22. I should've quoted Randy.

Everyone is buying sensible items and I bought another knife I don't need...
Busse BWM
I SHOULD be buying ammo. I'm shooting more again, but not replenishing my supplies. Not everyone Arch, I couldn't resist this beauty.

The BWM is a really nice blade Gary. I have had one for a few years now and it is perhaps the best chopper I have after the 1311. When I got mine the "Grooves" in the handle were kinda sharp, but they wear down pretty quick into just enhancing the gripability. This will be my first TINFI chopper. All other INFI choppers have been 0.25" to 0.3+ (I had a FAT NMFSH that was a BEAST). I've been more interested in thinner blades lately, and the deal and timing were right.

My brother got one for Christmas one year when we were kids. I was happy with my little single shot, but I was still a little jealous. I've had quite a few 10/22 over the years. Everything from the plain blued / birch stock models to stainless factory spiral fluted "Target" models to Charger pistols to the new Take-Down model (and everything in between). I wouldn't be without a 10/22. In fact, my stainless Take-Down with Tech-Sights would be one of the very last guns I'd let go. People on the internet talk about accuracy, but I've come to question: A) their shooting abilities; B) the accuracy of their STATEMENTS; C) the variables involved; D) the truthfulness of their statements. The 10/22 has a reputation as not being accurate. I suspect this depends on your definition of "accurate". I can flip an empty 12 gauge shotgun shell around at 25-30 yards while standing, supporting my 10/22 TD with OPEN SIGHTS against a wood column (supports the roof over the shooting station at my range) all day any day. This to me is more than adequate accuracy for an open sighted $300 rifle shooting 15 year old "Federal Bulk Pack" ammo from Wal-Mart. I think if I tested quality ammo and found a load the rifle liked it would be exceedingly accurate. I'm not a benchrest shooter. The aftermarket support for the rifle is amazing. You can replace every part on it with something else. They're reliable. I've had some with untold round counts still run. They'll fail occasionally, but its nothing catastrophic (failure to load or similarly non-issue). Overall, a well equipped stainless 10/22 is a "must have" as far as I'm concerned. By "well equipped" I mean: 1) Sling 2) Improved Sighting (either a quality scope or open sights like Williams or Tech-Sights) 3) Plenty of mags and ammo.

greaser - that's a good looking gun. Let us know how it shoots over in the Gun thread after you range it.

Adam, that would make a great pack gun for sentry "problems" and small game after a break down.
I keep a TD in my BOB. Tech-Sights work great for this role.

I bought a couple of KaBar / Becker Tweener BK16 to test as detail knives.
They feel great in the hand (balance, weight, handle ergonomics, etc) and came with a serviceable sheath. My concern will be edge retention. I am not, however, concerned with strength as I view this as a companion knife.

Edge retention may not be as good as you are used to (Compared to Bussekin of course) but should be good. Besides personally, I would rather a blade be on the kind of softer side. Will "Give more instead of breaking (USUALLY) and easier to sharpen if you find yourself surrounded by nothing but rocks. If I had one I certainly wouldn't feel I had an unreliable product.

The edge retention on my BK 15 has been good. But, I have no problem with 1095 in general and find it holds up well. Seem to remember some micro chipping on an izula but that's about it.

I've put my bid in on a Maxpedition Malaga (And Maxped's CCW holster for a new edc and or POSSIBLE GHB (we will see what I can get in it). Now all I need to figure out is what handgun to keep in it. I am seriously thinking about my Glock 17 with one spare mag.

Randy, Remember your GHB might be all you end up owning if there isn't a H to G to. As such, I think you'd be hard pressed to select a better gun than your G17. I do recommend SUBSTANTIALLY more ammo than 34rds.

Your GHB is a reverse BOB. Smaller, lighter and less capability but same purpose. I think the ability to fight is greater in a GH scenario than in a BO.

GH will be a highly populated affair (the sheeple will not have died off yet). BO is likely to be required after the initial die off...less people = less boolits

GH could involve traffic problems, panicking people, provocations, etc.
BO would be a low key, creeping in the bush operation.

Saturday I Went across the river. Yes Dogs I ventured into the Liberal Mecca of ILLINOIS! I know, I know, I felt totally naked without my "Hogs Leg" but I had no choice. Needless to say I extended my radar and paid more attention to conversations and braved the horde. The place I went to was a flea market that is only open on Sat and Sun. There is one "Room" that has some LIMITED Military Surplus items. I went there specifically looking for something.
The Foray was productive though. It netted me a Vietnam era poncho. NOT the extremely heavy rubber covered green one but the lighter weight (the kind I had before) jungle camo version. I checked it over real good and as best as I can determine it is still all intact. IF there are any small areas that are leaking I can always buy a bottle of silicone they make for light weight tents and tarps. They also have liners but I didn't get one this time. That I will save for another day.

MSM Adapt Pack was backordered... Said they had 2 in stock when I ordered.
I did some shopping around and I don't think I'm going to find a pack that gets as close to what I want as that pack. I screwed around and cancelled the order but I'm thinking I should've just left it alone and waited it out. The other colors I might want are backorder for up to a couple months. And this particular site has the best price I've seen @ $86.
I've been wanting a decent edc pack for years now. I guess waiting a couple weeks wouldn't have matter that much.

I ordered some Red Kap ripstop shirts (SY60). I prefer a button up over a polo style shirt when it gets warmer out. The ripstop material may be too hot for summer wear here though. At $10 I figure I'll give then a try and if not for summer they will be fine to wear come the fall.
I've pick up quite few tactical shirts lately. Bought a few 5.11, some BlackHawk, and will probably snag a few Vertx shirts soon. I keep finding them heavily discounted here and there so I figure I should check them out. Some of them are fine everyday shirts that will last for a long long time but some are way over the top tactically and way too heavy material and build wise. They just wouldn't work well down here in the south. I guess maybe 2 to 3 months out of the year like my jackets. But really not my sort of thing...I probably will end up talking about them in the "sold" thread at some point.

really the only thing I am lacking as of now is 40 cal. because I traded it for 45 when I sold what I thought would be my last firearm in that cal. but I will soon rectify that situation shortly.

Hahahahaha thanks guys. They are really hard to find but a local shop ordered 6 of them 8 months ago and they just got them in last week. I shot one of those that was purchased by a guy I shoot with last week. I've never shot so well in my life and considering how rare they are I decided I'd rather have that in my safe than the cash in the bank. Also helps that the shop manager likes me so much that I'm getting a new one for cheaper than the used ones go for online. I had no intention of every paying that much for a handgun till I put 4 mags through one. When I called the shop and said put on back for me they only had 2 left! Well one now lol

GD, Congrats on a nice race gun. I've never once regretting buying the best quality product available to me. I've not always liked the price, but discounting the "chocolate bar law" (law of diminishing returns) you do get what you pay for in firearms. "Bargains" are rarely "bargains" for those who expect a high degree of performance. Please create a review after you've started using it.
The one place I paid for the best and didn't get it was the 1911 realm. I wouldn't take an Ed Brown if you offered it to me for $500. Les Baer is a different story. Brown's reputation precedes him for good reason.

What have I bought lately....
(2) SureFire M600AA Scout Lights (the new AA models)
I'm curious about trying these against my SureFire M600A and M600C (CR123 models).
I will create a thread about this.

I didn't buy it, (gifted by a really good dog) Streamlight Sidewinder compact cr123 light. I LOVE that thing. If I keep using it the way I have I'll have to buy a new battery in a week or so! Getting a Maxped Malaga, a bag to make another personal "Kit" based upon Gary's load out. TWO maxped CCW holster platforms.

Got 2 Surefire x300u on the way. I hope the 2011 works out. It's a quality gun but the 2011 is a finicky little lass that needs everything just to her liking.

The SureFire x300U is a great outdoor WML, but you might want to run some DRY GUN inside drills before slapping one on your bedside gun. Even without eyes adjusted to dark, it will rebound splash with so much vigor you'll see spots (at minimum) and will be totally night blind (at max).
I like 200 Lumen with a focused center beam and large Nav cone. This works well inside and out to about 250 yards (max distance I tested on my farm).
I have and use a variety of lights because like guns "one size does NOT fit all"....
SureFire M600A with KL4 for room clearing rifle; SureFire M600C with KX2C for general purpose (might be replaced with M600AA after testing is complete rifle); SureFire M300 with K1XC for GP lightweight builds; Streamlight TRL-1 C4 and TRL-3 for all handguns.
The move toward 500-600 lumens is being driven by the same people that like to wear black boots and kick down doors. Real world civ applications (short of high risk SWAT action) yields very different results.
Just as I wouldn't use my SCAR HEAVY for CQB...I would not use more than 200 lumens anywhere except the desert.

BTW - I remember when an incandescent 60 lumen WML was considered "the max light needed". 60 was NOT enough, but Americans are a little too obsessed with "mo iz betta".

I recently sold some of my original SureFire incandescent WML that I had been using for the past 15 years. 60 lumens didn't work well on my farm, but was fine indoors. The 100 lumen lights ALMOST cut it outdoors. When I started using 200 I was set. My Benelli's dedicated SureFire forearm has various outputs. Very nice. I liked the Nav lights on my old 500's. For the money, a Streamlight TLR-1 cannot be beat. They're easy to find for $100, and are bombproof. Streamlight's CS IS OUTSTANDING too. Their product didn't fail, but the user made a mistake and they not only fixed it but also upgraded me

I've got a TLR 1s on my bedside gun right now! I just wanted something with more punch for outdoors since I don't plan on my indoor CQB because I'm no operator lol

GD, I have a TLR-1 HL that I absolutely LOVE for an indoor gun. http://streamlight.com/en-us/product/product.html?pid=276I think that it would also work for a LIMITED RANGE outdoor firearm as well, notice LIMITED RANGE. IF you want a Throw into the next state, get the TLR-1 HPL. http://www.streamlight.com/en-us/product/product.html?pid=313That thing has a spot that WILL light up the next block! I tried out one of these and it is WAY to much indoors. BUT outside it will "Light up the night". Has a very intense center spot and a decent "Side spill" for outdoors use. SO MY recommendation based upon ONLY these two lights is 1. TLR-1 HL for indoor use 2. TLR-1 HPL for outside if you want a long thrower.

GD, Totally agree about not being an operator, LOL. I'm closer to needing to be operated on, haha.
I can only think of one situation where I'd be outside with a light, and that's looking for a prowler. The light needed for that is a personal choice. When I'm checking my house (outside) I do so with a holstered handgun and handheld flashlight.
Otherwise the only way I see needing an outdoor light is:
A) if you have livestock and a predator issue; B) social breakdown.
The latter warrants a AA light since CR123 resupply could be tricky for us non-operators. A solar or handcrank AA charger can be found for $50...and will keep the night from being spooky until well after you've exhausted your ammo supply.

Texted the shop manager where I'm getting my STI DVC limited. He talked to the owner and the knocked another $99 off of it. I'm pretty sure I'm getting at their price at this point. I'm totally blown away. Im wondering if I will have to get a tattoo of the shops name or something lol.

Just ordered a Anshcutz RX22 which is a .22lr SCAR clone. I was waiting for them to go back on sale and they did last night. I'll be setting it up with the same mount and scope as my SCAR 17 and I'll call it a "training rifle". Really it's just a excuse to buy a cool looking tactical .22 rifle lol...
I'm also leaning towards getting a S&W M&P 22 compact since the full-size M&P 9 is my go-to pistol. Again it's just for "training" purposes lol...

Get it at CDN?

Architect I'm not really following lol They might hand you a costume and sign and make you stand out front and advertise. It wasn't very funny to begin with. Jokes are never funny when you have to explain them, haha.

Hobbes which cal did you get? My .40 226 legion is awesome! Picked up my STI! They sold me the last spare mag for it in the shop at cost and gave me a free t-shirt!

Did you buy a lottery ticket on the way home?
Better yet...did you make sure there was actually a gun in the box?

Hahahahaha! So when I got home I noticed that the STI shipped from them very dirty so I stripped and cleaned it. Found some small machining imperfections and 2 things that I think we're attention to detail issues. Guess we will see how it runs. I think the fitting/assembly work on my 226 legion was better.

GD, That mirrors what I've heard of other STI products. Hopefully it'll run as well as a stock $475 Glock.
Sorry I couldn't resist.

Hahaha if SHTF I'd grab on of my 3 Glocks or my 226 before I'd grab that STI. That 226 in single action has a trigger that rivals the STI
