Well they are gonna have a little bit less now Tom.

After I got outbid on that Weatherby I was wanting on Gun Broker (exceeded my self imposed limit for that gun), I found myself again surfing Al Gore’s internet.

I finally ran aground, after striking out on about a dozen sites and found myself piled up at a place Called GForce Arms. After giving their selection of Boom Sticks a couple of quick glances and deciding which model I liked, I contacted one of the semi-local gun stores and lo and behold, they had just gotten in a shipment and had a couple of the model I was looking at.

So off I went in my trusty little white Jeep Patriot and about 30 minutes later, never exceeding the speed limit of course grin, I walked in their front door.

After soliciting the services of one of their sales staff, I inquired about their Self Defense shotguns. After establishing that I was a man determined to fulfill my quest for a Pump shotgun suited for the aforementioned purpose, and establishing that it must, of course, be chambered in the highly esteemed 12 gauge, the ever so cheery and extremely helpful member of the sales force smiled broadly and beckoned foe me to follow him to another part of the store.

Upon arriving at the aforementioned section of the store reserved for the shoulder fired Self Defense weaponry he gladly displayed a couple of the firearms I had told him I was interested in perhaps purchasing. After informing him that I had determined that I wanted one with a true pistol grip but stock and Ghost ring rear sight, and reminding him it must be a pump he proudly displayed the only specimen fulfilling the requirements I had stipulated. I determined that it, after a careful examination that it did indeed meet my requirements for a firearm of this type and for the purpose for which it would be purchased. In addition, and unstated on the company website the Forearm comes with a built in Picatinny Rail that would allow for the mounting a Weapon light.

After procuring a BNIB version of the chosen firearm he begin to walk up to the check out counter. But before He could begin his journey to the point of renumeration I enquired into if they had any magazine extensions that would fit in this gun. After walking to the display where different types of extensions were located we opened up one of the clam shell packages after selecting an extension that fit on my Weatherby Semi-automatic (I had already determined that the thread pitch appeared similar). Well after a trial fit the tube was determined to be the correct one. All that will be necessary is to remove approximately 1/8 inch from the front of the muzzle end of the shotguns magazine tube and screwing on the new one after of course, installing the extended length magazine spring. I plan on accomplishing this task tomorrow.

After finally arriving at the “Point of sale” register and adding up the cost of the Items I had decided I wanted I determined that I would be purchasing the said firearm, a 12ga GForce Arms GF3T pump action shotgun PLUS a Carlson’s +3 round magazine extension tube AND a Streamlight TLR-1 Weapons light. I think they made a mistake but I got it all for $475.00. I am pleased so far and can’t really see any reasons for this to change. I hope it stays this way.

So at present, I have the Shotgun here at the house and the Weapons light is installed. Once I get the magazine extension installed I will have the shotgun I have wanted to acquire. This will give me 1 each of a pump and a semi-auto in both 20ga and 12ga.

I tried quite hard to “embilish” this story for your enjoyment and hope that it did bring a smile to your face, if for nothing more than to just allow you to shake your head and say “That Boy Ain’t Right”.

Well I got one person that hit the “like button”. And since it’s February, “Blarney” is quite appropriate. grin

Well here it is, (if it works)the GF3T 12ga with the streamlight TLR-1 and The extended choke tube. Went from a 5 shooter all the way to an 8 shot Ally Sweeper.

OOPS, WRONG PIC. STAND BY.

Looks slightly handier than my Winchester 12 gauge with the 10 round capacity and light that I have. wink

Can’t find my post, so here it is again, the GForce GF3T pump action 12ga with 3 round extension magazine tube (total of 8 now) and Streamlight TLR-1

[Linked Image from live.staticflickr.com]

The ONLY thing I don’t like is the 14.5 inch length of pull. It needs to be 1 to 1.5 inches shorter. Might look into that.

Ok, here is a question, the answer I can’t find. It is a fixed choke with a choke diameter of .715. What does that equate to as far as Cyl, Imp Cyl etc.

I had some trouble getting the extension tube on. Chopped off the crimped end of the tube (the first time) without any problems but the threads were still a mite to long. Sooo back to the cutting. Was going pretty good until my hand slipped and the end I was working on got dinged. Put it back together and the follower would jam on this spot. Took it back apart, FINALLY got it all made pretty round again and now it feeds like it should. Now to get a box of cheap (yeah I know) shells to do a real function/reliability check.

I would think that if it feeds properly you should be good to go.
