Second day of rain. Feels amazing, here. A friend living very close to the fires sent me a pic of what looks like the end of the world. Ill have to transfer it over from my work phone. Its crazy looking and eerie to say the least

That has to look like Hell ; around here when they burn off one section ... 640 acres, it looks like the end of the world. I hope the folks living there escaped the fires.

Wildfires are an insane thing to live/work through. I lived and worked through 3 major wildfires. I remember things that should be not able to be burned, that were burned to ash. Some places where the fire burnt so hot it sterilized the ground and it will take decades for it to come back naturally, But seeing metal from car parts melted and puddled onto the road and dirt surfaces was interesting. Almost like modern art for some of them.
