What's the reason for the humps on the spine I wonder. Are they purely aesthetic as I personally would find it cleaner looking without them and I'd imagine they are a nuisance for a sheath maker but maybe there is a good reason.

That's my kind of knife! Hopefully I'll be quick enough to get them. Congrats Dan! Would love to see 10" version in .35" stock as future offering if you accept requests 😁

Man, that's one good looking blade! If I had the money I'd be all over that satin model! As for the hump question above, it's a thumb stop for choking up on the blade using the choil. Once you use it, you begin to understand and appreciate it. Last thing you want when using your hand directly on the blade is for anything to slip

Hmm. This seems like a nice blade to get back into the heavy bowie market.

I have to stop looking at this or I might do something really stupid. One kid in college, one going next fall, one more going in two years, and another one four years from now.... That satin model is REALLY calling to me though.... Anyone want to buy a rifle?

When you live where WE do, you pay attention to the weather. I will try to be on the computer if the weather permits, as I really want that satin DB-322.

Yeah, the wide open plains where Tom lives lets some really strong storms build up and come through.

Last thing you want when using your hand directly on the blade is for anything to slip [/quote] Thanks. I get thumb ramps but it looked very far forward to me than anything else I have, plus 2 humps. I prefer jimping myself and a flat spine.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love one but I have several large blades to pick from. In my old age and extremely limited funds I am trying to limit myself to item we actually need/would use. After all, I don’t have uncle Tom’s money.
