So....What type of sheath will be available? Dan, do you have a Nylon one large enough for the DF. I wonder if it would fit the FBM also? Anyone have any plans for their Dog Kennel?

I will get some leather for the LE....I hope to see a nylon one fit this Beast though.

hmm.. that's a good question.. what do FBM/Battle Rat folks usually use to carry their choppers?

i can't see myself getting a super fancy sheath ($$) for this user... and i WILL use the DF.. oh yes i will

Hoping the Yard comes through with a relatively inexpensive sheath.

If not, here's one option...

Only problem might be that security strap. The RTAK II has a pretty big handle

If you change your mind, I can't recommend Dwayne Puckett's work highly enough.

Snakeskin on everything but the Meaner. It has green linen.

Pics seem to come and go on my end. Earthlink is having webspace problems.

Anyway, Dwayne makes a durn nice sheath.

Hopefully that Kydex insert is extra thick.. because Dog Father is THicker than RTAK2!

Specs for the RTAK2 are listed as:
* 16.5 inch overall length
* 10.25 inch blade w/ drop point
* 3/16" (.1875") thick 1095 Steel

Dog Father's Specs are:
Blade Thickness: .275" (Between 1/4" and 5/16")
Blade Length: 10"
Blade Width: 1.80" (Wider than 1 3/4")
Overall Length: 15"

Mine will be wearing whatever Leatherface is making;
I am still impressed by the sheath he made for my scrapper.
Definitely th most bang for the buck I have ever seen, much as the scrappers are!

Sounds like another problem with that exact sheath. A FBM doesn't go down in my RTAK II sheath.

Well i'm glad you tried it! ..before we all went out and bought that! LOL!
CGFBM is about the same thickness as DF, but Wider blade.

does it look like one could.. modify the kydex insert somehow? ..split it so it'll accommodate the thicker blade? err.. that sounds pretty corny.. ::grumble::

for the Price the Dog Father deserves to get Beaten & Abused!!

it's kinda sick.. but i already have all this stuff lined up in my backyard ready to CHOP! ..logs, wood, containers.. etc.

..I prolly won't let the DF out of my Hands for two weeks! but after that.. my hands will prolly get tired.. then i'll need a sheath

so yeah.. you're right.
