I originally bought it in Sept. of last year to carry my gear to work. I was going to ride my bike to Apple and I thought it was the perfect pack for that, however I left Apple before I got the pack. It just arrived a couple days ago(6 months for a backpack, sheesh)

I want to make a BOB with it. What do you guys think I should put in it?

I love Maxpedition gear. I have a few of their items.

As far as the BOB contents, I think that depends on your daily travel habits. My daily commuting is mostly urban, so I have a certain set of things with me daily. Any time I venture further, I have a different set of stuff I take.

I have a Jumbo Fatboy; I use it as my daily manpurse. It's not a bug out bag in the true sense of the word. However, it's better than nothing. Here's what I usually carry in mine.

-First Aid kit

-City and State maps

-SOG multitool

-MiniMag, Flashlight-LED version

-Spare AA batteries

-24 Hours worth of food. Nothing fancy a few Cliff Bars, Granola Bars, and a tuna pack or two.

-A nalgene bottle, A stainless steel cup that it nest into and a 1 quart fold up canteen

-a titanium spork

-a small roll of toilet paper

-two Epi pens

-Waterproof notepad and 2 pens

-Mylar space blanket

-Bic lighter, and strike anywhere matches

-Surefire spares carrier for what ever light I have on my belt

-3 spare mags for my Sig 229

-A bottle of DEET

-Some spare cash

-My cellphone and palm pilot

And I've even got room to spare.

This is not an EDC, but rather my day pack for outdoor type activities. I thought I would post it, because it is the only pic I have of something Maxpedition.

Thanks Jerrwhy, I wanted to switch to a jumbo fatboy but they didn't have them either. Now I'll probably buy one for EDC and fill the Moonsoon with goodies for an emergency. Which means it won't be around when I really need it.

I ended up ordering mine directly from Maxpedition. I've had it for over a year now, and it's still going strong despite the fact that it gets treated rough.

I also carry a Sharpie daily. Used to I carried a doubled ended one for duel use, but I recently switched to one of those mini ones to save space in my pocket. I recently saw the Cold Steel Sharkie and I thought it looked interesting. It also can be used as a defensive weapon, and I like tools that have multiple uses. I also like undercover weapons that can be carried in secure areas undetected.
