The Bonds were passing through Missoula during their holiday travels, and James gave me a call and said "hey, we're here!" So I packed up the family, fought through traffic, and met James Bond, Mrs. Bond, Baby Bond, and Sister Bond while they had lunch. We had a nice little chat - brief, but pleasant. James is the first JYD I've had the opportunity to meet.
Baby Bond is adorable - even cuter than in the famous pumpkin pictures!
A challenge took place. I challenged James w/ my coin, and he produced his coin. Looks like I owe the Bond family drinks or dessert the next time we meet!
So, a big "Thanks" to James and his family for stopping and giving us a call. Hopefully we'll meet again!

Jeff - that would be awesome! I was pretty excited to hear from JB. I'd just gotten up (it was lunch time, but Ilyana gets off work at 2:30AM <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ) and still groggy. JB said he was in town, and we were out the door inside of five minutes! We chatted a little bit about the kids and school, showed a few Spyderco knives around (I had my Manix, JB had a nice stainless handle Endura, and my wife had her Pink Delica), and talked about Scrapyard some, Blade West, - and then the coin challenge, of course. Regional retreats would be excellent, though. Hopefully we can put some together!
