Yote! Hows things going for you and your family?

You might also check out the manix 2. It got some really nice reviews in a blade mag. Don't know what length blade you are looking for but they also have the Military and para military. (which I think is a smaller version).

I always liked the design of the knife, and from what I have read about Lion Steel it should be of good quality. For myself after seeing what RYP did over on bf and reading about some other questionable exploits I just didn't want to give him any of my $. I will miss the knife though it looks like a good one. Hopefully the ESEE folder will get going soon. Anybody think Dan would ever build one.

I am looking forward to the ESEE-3F folder, too. The prototype that Lion Steel made for ESEE looks great. But Lion Steel will not be making the production model. Rowen will likely make it......some day. Folders are very different from fixed blades. Maybe the Busses will make some, but I'm not holding my breath. The one Busse kin folder that was offered was the Rat Trap. It is my EDC, and it is a fine folder, but Blade-Tech made it for Swamp Rat.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I guess the folders are a whole different game, and the Busse & kin seem to be doing well without them. I think a lot of people that have come to learn of Busse quality products just wish they could get folders that would in most cases see much more actual use than fixed blades.

I'm no metallurgist, but I know the Busses are expert metallurgist. Maybe that isn't the right word. Heat treating pros, perhaps. Maybe they can make the blades and send them to a company that has experience with folders.

Well, that's my dream. Maybe it'll come true.

As far as I am concerned Zero Tolerance folders are the "Busses" of the folder world. Those are some tough knives.

I'm with ya. Actually...considering Busse is an engineer, I would consider him a Materials Scientist. That's just me though.

I'm looking forward to dropping a few bills if/when they release a folder.

ALSO...I will say...I'm pretty sure one could create an insert for a res-c grip that can act as the frame for a folder. [censored] I'd be all over it.

Took the plunge and ordered a Three Sisters Forge, TF. My first serious folder. I was also thinking about a ZT, they look pretty stout.

I've been thinking about a ZT0200 myself. It's a beast of a knife, very solid and well made. Just what I need for when the zombies come...if they get that close!

I am looking for a smaller quality blade that has a clip but sits deep in the pocket. You know, more discrete-----------any ideas?

I like the low riders also, I wont buy one that sticks up out of my pocket. Two weeks ago at a gun show I picked up a CRKT, Pazoda model. 2 1/2" blade and low ride clip. I'm not sure it would be considered a quality blade as it was only 20 bucks. It does feel pretty solid though and it's a framelock.

Just got a Kershaw Blur 2nd. I like it! Doubt i need assisted opening, but I like the size a lot and the little recurve is pretty slick looking!

Feel like it's my jr. zt 200 which is fine for me b/c that thing must be as heavy as a brick and I would never carry it!

I understand that Swamp Rat took credit for and sold these folding knives. What I do NOT understand is who actually made them.

The number of knives sold and the familiar design smacks of overseas manufacturing.

Did Swamp Rat out source them manufacturing as NO Busse company is set up to make a full production run of folding knives?
In defense if Busse did have the mass capability to produce folding knives wouldn't Busse knife have made their version first or at least made one at all since every Hog has cried for one for over a decade?

Assuming the highly improbable that S.R.K.C. did in fact make each and every knife forsaking the Busse brand name did they also use the "Transverse Wave" Busse heat treatment to CPM S30V?

If they did in fact Bussify the CPM steel does it have magical properties? You know what I mean right? The 40 hour heat treat of Busses were to be applied to S30V would ,did, or does it have unspeakable strength and flexibility?

Just something I have wondered for a long time and having no answer I differ to The Yard of opinions or answers.

Peace.
