I will be getting a Ratmandu shortly. Can someone post a pic or two, also some specs on it. Sharp sez it's awesome, so I pulled the plug on it, lol I tried a couple of places, but could not find anything at all. Thanks.

Here are a few of pics when these were "fresh". I don't recall the exact specs other than it's SR101, blade is about 5" IIRC. All in all, it would be in my top 3 of keepers if I had to get rid of all other knives. The new RMD (I have the older models) has no swedge.

Great choice! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> As soon as I held one at the Blade show last year I knew that I wanted one, and Gravelface easily convinced me I NEEDED one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I later bought a second one, and I'm glad I did! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks everyone. Unfortunely sometimes here at work I cannot see pics, this is one of those times, but when I get home I will be able to see them. What is this swedge? The one I'm getting is grey/black or black/black, not sure. He did not say if it was a newer one or older one. Anyone know the overall length?

RMD, excellent choice. It's hard to see the swedge in the picture, here's a better shot. http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=006157

Basically, a part of the spine is not flat, almost round. But not angled enough to be called a false edge.

I have never measured my RMD but here it is next to my Swiss Spirit if that helps give you an idea !

It's big enough for most tasks and small enough for all the others !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
