What is your favorite edge angle? 15 degrees per side 22, somewhere in the middle?

When I use the Lansky I usually do a 20 degree... I rarely use it any more though... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

When I first started "Convexing" I used a Spyderco sharp maker to put a 20 degree primary bevel and a 15 degree secondary bevel and then using a mouse board and grit paper convexed the secondary into the primary for an appleseed shape....after doing it for a few knives I can now get very close to this on the belt sander...so I never really measure any more...but I doubt I go lower than a 20 degree angle on the primary bevel aspect of a convex blade.
Spyderco said they had checked all different angles and found 20 degrees either side to be the most resilient.

What did HD put on his Muk? I don't know. I've never measured an edge angle in my life. I just go with what looks right to me for the grind. I think one of my kids has a protracter some place.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I had a friend grind off the serrations on my cold steel pro-lite... and it's basically impossible to sharpen it using one of those standard pocket sharpeners. BTW, the pro-lite is an excellent EDC...

HD, I like the edge you put on your Muk... You should see it now. I got radical with it. Thin!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
