Maybe it's just fun to swing a beautifully crafted and sharpened hunk of quality steel?

That's got my vote! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Chopping is good for the soul. President Reagan used to chop and split wood just for fun.

So did the deposed German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II. After WWI, living in exile at Doorn in the Netherlands, he made wood chopping his hobby.

That and he probably didn't have any servants to do the work. Got to stay warm somehow!

I will spend and entrie day in the wastelands of a logging cutblock, with a truckload full of knives, axes, 'hawks, chainsaws, chopping and splitting up the waste wood i find.

very fun, great exercise, and great stress release.

tommorow, (Sunday) i'm heading out the cut block for some choppy fun. Esp after the 5 tons work truck brakes failed on Friday....i need to get some stress outta the system
