I don't feel Micarta/G-10 should be grouped with Natural materials.

They don't come close as far as performance is concerned! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think Bruce was trying to have people vote on grips concerning what will reduce the impact of the chopping on your hand (like the Res C and Mudders do), as opposed to a more dense and solid material that directly transfers the energy of the impact in your hand.

Am I correct?

Looks like I was right!

I've found that Mudders reduce impact a lot, Res C a little, and denser materials like G10, micarta and natural (Like Wood) reduce even less, if at all.

My biggest and best chopper is < 1/8" thick. It's a Cold Steel Panga.
