Blinded by the satin 9" blade, Lizard King fled before the new Swamp King!



Even my junky back porch, aka, 3rd World Grind Shop, looks better with this beauty on display. Best of all, I don't need to do a thing to it. It's perfect!
This knife has great balance and speed. And it came nice and sharp, too. The swamp has produced a real winner with this one.

Good question, RN. They feel very different. I like the feel of the M9 better, and that's saying a lot. The M9LE feels like a Bowie. The NMSFNO feels like a chopper or camp knife. I am glad I got one of each. They are very different.


I need to contact Jeff. I will want to piggyback the HCLE with it. They make a killer combo. Black leather. It will be sweet.

Nice combo! And I have to agree 100%. The M9 feels a LOT more like a Bowie than the NMSFNO does. It's well balanced, fairly big, and fast. It feels deceptively light in the hand. As soon as I get a real IWB sheath for it, it will be my regular carry knife. Mine was also arm shaving sharp from the factory.

My wife hates those bald spots on my arms; they gross her out. She can't even look at them. I told her they're called Knifer's Mange.

Believe me, it's all the knife, not the photographer. It's even more impressive in person. And yes, a black leather piggy back sheath for the M9LE and HCLE will make one classy combo. No, I have been busy admiring my new M9LE! I'm so knife poor right now, I had to give my daughter coins to buy gas for her jeep. And Eric says great things are coming from the Swamp at Blade, too. I will probably feel I have to put a convex and polish on the edge, but I still have to give my M9LE a LOT of credit for having a very worthy up to industry standards edge. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I "might" also do some radiusing to the choil, but that is a very minor mod and not a feature I would really ever expect or complain about not having. Otherwise, it is almost impossible to come up with ANY thing I can see to improve. Pretty much PERFECT!!!!!

I really like the fact that the M9LE's guard finally isn't over-sized/over-chunky. It is a smaller very usable size and yet PLENTY large for everything/anything it could ever be needed for. It's smaller size is more comfort when choked up and provides more blade edge in closer to the standard grip. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

But, if you are ONLY going to display that one, and I can't blame you - it is GORGEOUS, you really need another to do more chop-offs with and compare to the DFLE, NMSFNO, Chopweiler/Ratweiler, etc. .... hence why Mag and I were trying to tell you to get 2. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> But, I also understand the need to "Try" to cut back on purchases.
