My only complaint about my cordura from Scrapyard is that the liner is not sewn in or anything. So you have to kind of squeeze the thing as you draw it, or else you pull out the liner along with the blade. I don't find it a huge problem since I never draw the Dogfather quickly with one hand. I also removed the retaining strap, mainly because the DF is so long and so snug in the sheath that it stays in there just fine without, but also because velcro annoys me for things like that. Would much prefer a snap.

Apart from that, it's well made, hasn't frayed or anything. Good stitching, tie holes are grommeted, all the edges nicely edged and bound. With all the emphasis on custom leather and custom kydex bending, I think it would be interesting to find out how many SYKCO blades ride around in the "standard issue" option.

Do you have a picture of the back? I was wondering if it has the MOLLE strap that could weave onto other MOLLE gear (I know some condura sheaths have them and some don't).

Pink, I know some of the S6 YH YG sheaths have MOLLE atachment on the back, but I have not seen any Dogfather ones that have.

The early DF sheaths did not have the MOLLE attachments, but later ones did.

I have two of the Dog Father sheaths and they both have the molle attachments.

Put some glue between cordura and liner and the problem is solved <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Not to much glue if you want to remove the liner for some reason later

I have four of the Cordura sheaths from the Yard and the insert came glued in place on all of them.

jackell: mine wasn´t glued in place. Maybe I have an old sheath...

It was probably a change at some point and I'm sure they glue dot would work loose with heavy use.

If there is enough room at the bottom, without interfering with the blade, how about using a Chicago Screw to hold the insert to the condura? You would punch through the sheath and then drill through the liner. That is assuming there is enough length.

There's actually all kinds of space down at the bottom of the sheath if you are always sure of putting the blade in the same way. The sweep of the point gives you a whole corner of the liner to play with. For those modifying their sheaths I think it's probably best to keep it removable, for cleaning. If you get a lot of sand or pitch or gore in there it could get pretty bad.

Although others have posted that the SOD won't fit the Scrapper 6 sheath, my SODLE rides in the SYKCO Cordura just fine for me. The thumb ramp and finger guard prevent the blade from going in too far and poking a hole in the bottom. It works for me.
