I have two Challenge Coin alerts:

First Alert:
I have Challenge Coin #79, which I will be happy to send to the appropriate JYD. PM me if interested so we can make arrangements. I will send it to you at my actual costs of original purchase and re-shipment.

This is an excellent Challenge Coin and I suggest you take my offer. 79 is the atomic number of gold, and thus this coin is the Gold Standard of Challenge Coins. (How’s that for a sales pitch!) I was going to keep it but decided upon reflection to offer it to you.

I am not interested in a trade because…

Second Alert:
Fair warning to future JYDs: I also have Challenge Coin #88. The number 88 is a preferred number of mine, meaningful in math and art, and symbolizes fortune and good health. So I'm keeping it.

Yeah, 79 is my number, but I don't really have much desire to have a challenge coin. No offense to the other yard members or anything, but I kinda like the idea of reserving that tradition for folks who do things that are far more important than what I do. I think it's awesome that ya'll do it and have fun with it, but it's not my bag personally.

And KidNevada - you need to get yourself over to the JYD death chat and get posting, so you can make sure you snag JYD #88 to match your coin!

88 is getting close...

I ordered a coin too with my S5. I wonder what number will I get?

MM, you better get a coin or you are going to owe a lot of Dogs drinks whenever you go to something like Blade.

Yep, let me know how that works out for you. As far as I know, if you are a JYD, you are on the hook for presenting the coin when challenged.

i enjoy the camaraderie of having a a coin.

also i keep mine in my wallet and whenever i shake the change out when im paying for something the challenge coin comes out...almost everyone asks what it is....my reply "its the YARD!!!" seriously thought i just educate them on the best knives for the best price and the website to find them.

plant the seed.

So be it, MustardMan. As a rather independent type myself (in face, a registered independent), I respect your ability to make your own choices and form your own opinions. Independent types like you founded this country and are in short supply these days. So with respect, my offer is withdrawn.

And that means the coin is mine to do whatever I want with. I’ve decided it should go to my fellow independent MustardMan with my compliments. So if Dan will agree to act as intermediary, I will send Challenge Coin #79, aka the Gold Standard, back to Scrap Yard for forwarding to MustardMan. I prefer to do it this way since this is a gift of friendship and I don’t want MustardMan to have the option to send it back or to send payment, independent cuss that he is.

Enjoy it with my compliments, MustardMan.
