Shot MG's and cannons with a few friends...it was Johnny's first time shooting with us at this range...

Here's Johnny climbing behind the controls of the beast...

By way of comparison, here is the original 30mm Solothurn which the Lahti was chambered in ($40 per rd.), the 20mm Vulcan that this rifle currently fires ($2.80/rd reloaded), .50 BMG, and 5.56 NATO

We grilled hotdogs and brats, after the shooting we drank beer, and watched the movie "Taken" on the Otis Treekiller Outdoor Theater.

Great pics PBOL! I'm digging the Super Sniper in the first pic. I guess they really are good to go for the 50 cal.

Man... I really want a 20mm. Not the most practical rifle in the world for me, but I sure want one!

Nice hardware.
I have got to shoot quite a few of the guns listed here including the Type 99. The one we were shooting was a bring back dewat that had been registered in '68. I thought it was kinda cool to shoot. The Krink is a fun little full-auto too. And of course, I love my Uzi! Of the ones above my least fav is the 1919, just did not do anything for me. It is good to be friends with a close friend of the guy that puts on Machine Gun Mt shoot here in OK.

Thanks for showing us the pics!

Wow! Those are some nice toys. Kinda makes my new AK I was so excited about seem trivial. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Cool toys! Those Krinks are pretty sweet little guns.

A few years ago our PD pulled over a crackhead with one of those Japanese Type 99 in his trunk.

Looks like lots of fun.

I just went back and looked and I was wrong. The crackheads had a type 97 not 99.

It was indeed.

We have MG shoots at my friend's farm every 2-3 months, schedules permitting.

This one had a nice turn out with probably 20+ people there...

Addictive! We have a little get together now and then and a few belt feds show up like a Maxim, a Vickers, and a couple others that were used in Rhodesia. The get together is pretty cool because all weapons there represent different times in Rhodesia's history. Some guys wear uniforms, cook out, and the whole works. I hope we get together and do it soon before the heat sets in.

We haven't had a Vickers yet, but we have had everything from a 1910 Maxim to a PKM.

Some of these guys have awesome NFA collections. I know a guy in the eastern part of NC, and he's got EVERYTHING.....you name it, he's got one...

PKM, how fun was that? I would love to get some time behind one of those--just not carrying it around LOL. I know you are a FAL guy, ever get to shoot one of those in FA? FUN, but don't let it jump out of pocket.

The PKM was wonderful. It's a great MG.

As to F/A FAL's, the Israeli shown above is select fire. I've also shot select fire PARA, and STG58 FAL's. They can be a handful from the standing position, but they're not that bad.
