While you await your S5's and blade?

I have purchased the following (since ordering my S5's)...I'm outta control <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Spderco Endura ZDP-189
Spyderco Sage
SY DFCG - Oh yeah! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Kershaw Tyrade limited edition (150 pieces made)
Ordered a Dozier Wilderness
Ordered an Off the Map Custom bushcraft knife
Custom Bark River Bravo-1 - limited to less than 10 made

That's all...I'm really trying to stop this madness...in addition to that I have been buying supplies to make my own knives...I know I'm not the only one...Who else is buying knives whilst they wait? And, what are ye buyin'? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Since I found out the S5 was coming, I've bought a mini uncle mojo, M9LE, and bird dog LE. Not a lot, but enough to keep me busy. I'm expecting to spend a lot more at BLADE than I have in the wait for BLADE....

I would be doing the same if I were able to attend Blade - maybe this is just me making up for not being able to go. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I bought myself:

A Swamp Rat Skelly Warden
Two Muela Bowies, a Dagger and a Skinner
A couple Japanese Santoku kitchen knives
A Drill Press
A Dremel kit
A crapload of belts for my Kalamazoo belt sander

Waiting on a quote for some steel; then I`ll entertain myself with making a knife, to keep my mind off when the S5s will appear. I`ll have to call up Russel Metals tomorrow.

I still want a Becker BK-2 and a Rat RC-4. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I'll have to wait a bit on those though...What an expensive addiction! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I bought a Swamp Rat M6 to send to Afghanistan with a friend of mine. I liked it so much when it arrived, that I couldn't bear to just give it away, so I bought another M6 from the Busse exchange. This one a custom shop variant. It should be arriving within the next couple days, I would guess.

I bought a few vintage Al Mars (an Integral and a pair of fixed-blade/matching SN SEREs). I also picked up a SPAX and another vintage WWII crash axe from "that" auction site last week (the crash axe was only $13.55 + $11.95 S&H).

I bought another S5 while I was waiting for the first one. I'd like to get a Yard Guard and a SOD if I could find them new somewhere.

Thanks man <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Here is a comparison pic next to the local champs.
AOL = 13"
Blade = 7" to the thumb ramps/guard, 6" where edge ends.
Handle = 5.5" from thumb ramp/guard to handle end. Or 4.75" of cord wrap.
Skinny ASH, BN-SS, SOD & S6

So far, just my Badlands Hybrid pack. I've hiked more than a dozen miles with it so far. I love it.

I'm thinking of getting a few less expensive knives to test for my scouts before the S5 gets here. I'm thinking the Blackjack Grunt and a Cold Steel Finn Bear.

But haven't decided yet. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I'll be looking mostly at choppers and folders. I may pick up another midsized Scrapper, too. The new Busse kukri and the new Condor golok are high on my list.
I also want to handle some ZT folders to see how I like them. I might even find a leather sheath for my NMSFNO, since Jeff is snowed under now and my kydex scratches the new satin finish I put on mine.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I've been kayaking hard the last two days setting jug lines. Got one decent cat last night. Large fish in a small boat can be quite tricky. I had a cooler filled with water in back and that extra 60 or 70 pounds killed me.

I'm going to have to put them on ice or maybe just get an aerator so I don't have to drag around all that weight.

All of that to say, I need some of those leashes so I don't lose my knife or flashlight while in the boat. Where did you snag those?
