I know every one loves the 1022,so do I.I also love a lever action so I bought a 9622,much cheaper than a marlin/winchester.The reason for this post is to let everyone know that the 9622 will take the hicap 1022 mags. no problem (in mine anyway).I'm lazy and don't like loading mags any more than I have to.So now I have an assault lever gun.I can load it on sunday and shoot all week.(originally said about the henry rifle during the civil war.)

The lever actions have a certain sense of history to them.

I love lever action rifles.

After hunting season I'm going to try find a used Marlin 30/30 for sale, a lot of hunting rifles should be up for sale then, hopefully I can find one at a decent price.

I'm curious, what does a lever action rifle with a high capacity magazine look like?

I've never seen a lever action rifle with a high cap magazine?

What is the make and model?

I love lever actions, but the Rugers action was nasty compared to the Winchester action. It was stiff and very sloppy feeling. Not at all smooth and solid like my Winchester. I'm really thinking about the Marlin 45-70 guide gun as my next purchase.

i've never seen a lever action with a detachable magazine. all the ones i've seen have a long tubular magazine under the barrell.

Sorry I don't know how to post pics yet.The Ruger 9622 looks alot like a 1022 & takes the same mags in front of the lever/trigger group.Mine is smooth & has some wiggle, but nothing to complain about.I've put a few hundred rounds through it w/no problems whatsoever.Looks pretty cool with a 25 rnd. mag IMO.

Nice! I love lever actions. Browning makes some sweet take-downs.

I love lever guns too.I took my first buck(a spike)with a marlin 336 in 35Rem.
Marlin makes the 39 in takedown also.

The I bought a stainless browning take down in .243 Win for my dad. He's left handed and doesn't hunt much. I thought a .243 would be a good mild, all-purpose round. He's left handed and a lever action that takes a magazine can be ambidextrous.

Since he gave it back to me, I've been taking it now and then as a back up for my .243 win.

I shot it late last year and it was a hoot. I did not shoot for accuracy, but with open sights, I was hitting softball size rocks at a hundred yards.

I'd like to pick up a lever action ruger in the .17 HMR. That would be a great squirrel gun.

The interesting thing about Ruger is all the 22 rifles use the same mag. The 10/22 semi, 96/22 Lever and Hawkeye 77/22 Bolt all use the same box mag.

I've seen them before. I've read that they can produce dime size groups at a hundred yards, even with the barrel band.
