well i think highly of what you guys know... so i dig the feed back , also this one was the post in entered into the contest...
the other thing is i wanted a nice small sub load to put into my edc or take on its own , or pull out and throw in the truck ... honestly im about to make a bigger one (by all of 50cuin) and ill update it after i put that togeather.
so far this little set up fits in all my bags , every thign in it has a couple years shelf life on it if any at all... so i dont have to deal with it ... and it has enough useful stuff that i can take it with me.
im slowly building my edc to show off too ....
probably march...
im adding a couple things to this kit
bacon salt 3 twists of bailing wire for making pot suports and other things back up light a new mess kit.

I love that Spec Ops pouch. That is on my want list.
That is a great kit and you definitely have all your bases covered and then some.
Just a couple things too add or think about if you have the room. A length of duct tape flattened out..could come in handy. Even a small tube of super glue to seal up any big cuts or gashes.
It looks great though...nice kit.

Great kit. I like the idea of the jump drive with medical information, etc. Some of us need that handy just in case we need serious medical attention.

there is an orgonizer clip on the isnide it clips to ... it has a little orange pull so if im found theres the info and could probably be found. also so many usb im sure some one would check it if i was found in the woods... also keeps spares of info encrypted for me and lists of phone numbers etc. documents.
on the public side its medical and photos , and a trace program so when its plugged in i can figure it out who took it maybe... also some programs , and tools for working and communicating. and phone numbers for my family with addresses.

I thought it was free. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" /> Oh well. I tried installing Prey on my laptop, but one of my virus scanners gave me a warning about it. I emailed the company asking what's up with that, but I never got a reply so I trashed it. To secure my phone from thieves, I use Microsoft Myphone. I can back everything up online, and remotely lock or erase the phone, and track its location.

Nice setup. I have moved my emergency kit over to a Spec-Ops pouch. Their quality is top notch. The CountyComm lights are very handy. I have about 10 of them.

sling shots/stun sticks/ auto tensioning devices. snare/ auto set hook, tuniquit help , shelter material , fire tube , protect the rest of the pouch from the ring saw inside it =)
i put in a bunch of stuff that basicly gives me a broad range of options and the basics to play around with....

say i meant to ask, what you use the surgical tubing for ? slingy shot or firetube (for forcing air into fire) You can also use it to suck or siphon water. If things are desperate, surgical tubing can be used as a tourniquet. I cut a length of copper tube with an OD that matches the ID of the surgical tubing. It slides in snug. That way I can blow air into a fire just where I want it, without melting the rubber tube.

also use it in stuff like solar stills to suck out the capture cup ... or drain into my water bag from a transpiration still...
i was going to add a bigger length of larger diamer around it just for doing short run syphons but i still gotta play with it....
I really tried to design it so i could get maximum shelter fast and then spend the rest of my time looking for natural materials and scout for food etc...
oddly some of this stuff i got ideas from bums... i just have a bigger pocket for gear.... i had a little under 100 buck kit i built for some one i need to see if i can rebuild it.
honestly the contest that this came from is rather a cool idea, you get a ton of ideas for your gear and improve your own , and show off lol
