She did pay $150 of what she owes, but that's just a drop in the bucket

I thought that last week or so you said you had to go back to court over that. then you just said it wasn't about (I took that to mean concerning)you. Best of luck in getting things FINALLY ironed out.

She is asking for a modification, so I'll have to be there to agree or dispute it. Just hope that it can be one of the first couple through. Once this is over, then I won't have to go back for it unless she gets a major increase in income, cause she's already at the bottom of the scale. $233 a month plus she's supposed to carry health insurance. For two kids, it was only $310/month plus insurance.

I really feel for the women that their men owe thousands of dollars and they don't have the money to give the kids what they NEED, much less what they want. I'm pretty lucky, we're ok financially so it isn't a deal breaker for me if she pays it or not, but it does help.

I hear you. We get these deadbeat dads throught here all the time. MOST all of them make the money just aren't paying it for one reason or other. Unfortunately, WAY to many times they just don't care.

That's my ex. Her husband died in June and she withdrew his 401k account to the tune of $33k. She went through it like crap through a goose, but refused to catch up her child support. Now she's out of money, and the buzzards are coming home to roost!

What makes it so bad is that she was seperated when he died. But since they weren't divorced yet, she gets everything. His kids and grandkid get nothing.
