Puukko's are nice and a classic!. Perhaps some day I will be able to afford one. And a good evening to you as Well My friend.

Randy if you can afford a SY you can afford a puukko. The one I sent the picture has higher price because it's hand-made. But a basic puukko you can afford for sure.

Hope you have a nice safe happy day! I'll probably be checking out the site most of the day today, gotta puppyset. Gonna have the Grand baby again today so I gotta keep the puppy away from the grand baby.

my brother has the family motto in Gaelic tattooed on his arm
when i said to him why did you have it written in Gaelic, nobody will know what it says.
he replied i know what it means, thats all that matters
Very true. This Concedo Nulli is Latin.

That 22 C is quite usual here at the day time. But I think it's getting warmer today.

When you watch that puukko of mine you'll probably get the idea why I think handles are for gripping and blades for cutting. I was raised with those things in every house and every hiking trip to woods.
Is there a problem with hand over-run onto the blade? I have heard that all boys have one by the time they are old enough to walk, and it is not uncommon to see men in business suits to be carrying too. That would be a sight to see, several men in business suits taking their coats off and many blades in view. Talk about a ice breaker

Jeff, I think I am over thinking this to much, can you explain it in VERY simple to understand words for one of us mentally challenged?

Man, missed a grail today! Someone had a Rat Hunter on BF. Actually had the time and not the cash...being responsible with $ and knife buying can be such a pain!

Kept telling myself "Not the savings acct, not the savings!" lol

Basically if you are using the blade, does your hand over-run the handle and on to the blade? Does the hand have a tendency to get on the blade in normal use, I am not talking about like jamming it into something like Palmer did with the S5 a while back. The Puukko design has been around for so long that if it were a problem it would have been rectified by now--or is it that since a lot of the boys start carrying the knife young (small knives that is) they learn to deal with it at an early stage?
