could you make the sheath look distressed? keeping with the scrapyard theme. I know a labrador who will keep going on a sheath long after I've collapsed from exhaustion. I could always go that route. I don't think his owner wants him thinking sheaths are toys though.

I have some leather that is scarred, wrinkled, and basically it looks like the poor creature that used to wear it had a really really bad life. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> Its rather thin so I'd have to price it on a custom basis as there will be some extra work laminating and sewing a backing leather to it. But it sure looks nifty. I did an Uncle Mofo sheath in that leather and with a little antique applied it looked 100 years old. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
