They usually start sending emails earlier than Jerry says they will; otherwise they'll be distracted with a bunch of, "Have you gotten to my email yet, and what did I get?" phone calls and emails. I wouldn't be surprised if people started getting emails by Thursday, but it's probably not a good idea to contact them before they contact you.

i called for a different resone than the ganza but asked while i was on the line. i have done a ganza and the basic ten sale. the busse gals always have responded in a timely maner.

It may take a couple of days, if not sooner for the girls to go through everything. I talked to Lexi yesterday and her head was spinning from all the emails!

All I know is it looks like there is some fine steel coming out of Ohio "soon"!

Ganzas get the heart rate up as you try to get an early entry, then the wait for an official e-mail seems longer than it is.

I just take some slow deep breaths, relax and think how nice it will be to have my new knives in hand.
That way the wait that follows the e-mail(s) (that tell me what I scored) for my new knives to actually arrive is a lot easier on me.

I agree with this. Let them reach out to you first each and every Ganza. Bugging them does none of us any good. As much as I love chatting with the Busse ladies I respectfully try to keep conversations short in sweet so my fellow knife nuts can get their business done as well.

My Elmax from the south has arrived..... Now waiting for my 911 to arrive..... And now waiting for a email from the busse shop.

I got all that I requested (four Scrap Max 460s and two SYKCO 711s, shipping was $34.95). Lexi sent the notification email at 9:36 this morning and I called to authorize payment. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the package.

Based on reading bladeforums people with 9:33 emails have gotten responses. Of course that doesn't mean they might be holding earlier emails waiting for some people that back out.

Since I totally blew the ganza and sent over an hour and a half late, I expect a response in 2 weeks.

Got the Email this morning. I was in at 9:33. Although I did score, I did not get everything I wanted. There must have been a big demand for the Hawks because that is the only blade I asked for multiples of and they only awarded me one???? Did I get lucky and get the last one, or are they limiting quantities to ensure more people get them? That kinda makes the ganza email thing senseless though? Anyhow At least I got what I was after. Hope everyone else gets their mail today!

I'm wondering if they went to a one hawk limit after a certain time. I saw earlier email senders are reporting getting 2 and 3 in an order.

I put 2 in my order and got them along with everything else.

I'm pretty sure that the timestamp that matters is when an email is received at BusseCombat.

Some mail servers process outgoing mail in batches and there can be routing delays. I don't know enough about the specific circumstances to say that's what happened, but when I send an email containing something that I want to discuss at work, it's not uncommon to arrive at their office a couple minutes before my email hits their inbox.

Definitely the timestamp. They said they would process the emails in the order recived (date and time). I sent mine at 9:32. I also saw some people bragging on how many they got over on the Busse forum. One in particular ordered 25 KDH. Wonder were they will be going?

You'd like to think that someone was making a group buy for a military unit, although it could also someone buying inventory to flip. There's good profit for someone with a hot item, but they can lose a lot if they misjudge demand. I think it was Dan (from Pennsylvania, not Dumpster Dan) who told me about making good money buying CGs, then stripping, polishing and re-handling them for resale when we were in line at Knob Creek. Maybe it was someone else, but that's how I remember it.

Anyway, the KDHs didn't sing to me, but a lot of folks seemed to be buying them -- maybe we'll hear about a unit buy (that's what I'm going to believe unless I hear otherwise).

I got both elmax and a 711, probably should have gotten a satin R4 and another KDH, but limited myself to 3.

There will be other chances to get more.

I'm taking a break. I have 2 Springfield Pros on order, plus I'm going to KC again. Only thing I'd order in the mean time is a FDM.

Well hopefully I am one of the late emails that will hear something. I know in past ganzas I was told that I missed out so hopefully I will hear one way or another. I guess if I miss out on what I wanted I will find something to console myself with--like a 911 to beat on.

Well, i finally got my response. Didn't score a darn thing. Though to be honest, i was going after all of the specials, no Elmax or 11 series in my order. Plus i also made the mistake of falling for one of the fake goes. It was my first time participating in a Ganza, and who would have thought that Blade Forums would be so poorly moderated that they would allow someone to sign up with the name Jerry.Busse and then issue fake go posts?

Anyway, i know better now, so i guess i will have to catch it on the next go round. My 911 is still on order, so at least i have that to look forward to!!

Sorry to hear that about your ganza order. The 911's are great. You should relly enjoy your's when it comes in.

It sucks, but i was going for the special items anyway, so my chances were less that most of you who wisely stuck with the Scrapmax and 11 series items. I will also keep that in mind for my next Ganza. Maybe 1 special and then something that i know they made quite a few of so i can at least score a knife out of it.

I noticed on the other post that you got your 911. While i am late to the ordering game on that, i can't wait when i get mine in a few months. I have several large blades, but none of them are going to compare to this!

Well, just got news that my late email missed the cut-off for the 340 scrapmax, but I did get a sniper hawk so not all is lost. Only asked for those two.

Found a charge on my card this morning. Could only be the 340 and 460. Now to wait for them to get here.

I just got off the phone with the girls at busse and they said that the only thing that is shipping is the Elmax. All the reast is a 4-6 week wait.

I went to a baseball game in Ganzaaaa night, so did not send the email until after midnight central time. Still got a Hawk, which is cool, but no ScrapMax's. Will have to pick those up on the exchange.

I also was told 4-6 weeks on the Hawk.

4-6 weeks is fine. Gives me time to save for them.

And for the FDM.

I was told I scored but needed to confirm the CC they had on file was mine and the last four numbers on the card where XXXX. I confirmed but then nothing for a few days. Wonder what's up.

Mike, if you received an email saying that you scored then you should be fine. If they had a question about your credit card they probably just had to verify something.

I got the same email asking if they should use the CC on file. I told them to charge for what was ready to ship. The charge posted yesterday so I'm hoping they ship this week. Do they send shipment notices?

Called the shop. Everything is good. Although when I asked about adding a hawk to the order. I was told all were sold within minutes if the go post. I hope my neighbor can find a hawk on the exchange then.

My tracking number says it was shipped yesterday but I got the email saying it would be shipped this afternoon. Delivery is set for tomorrow. New toys for the weekend.

I did get a Sniper Hawk. That is what I was really wanting. I had wanted a Rat ax for a long time, so this will fit the bill. For me and what I do I think this will be great for carrying on my pack. I did not order kydex as I really like leather==make my dad do some magic since I have been doing a lot of smithing for him lately. I sure was glad to get that email. So glad I did not order a RMJ.

Got a hawk coming too but it will be a few weeks from what I understand.
