LOL, I have a 13-11 the Muk and a Rattle Hawk handy. I have a HRLM, RMD, M-9, Regulator, 7-11, Swamp Wardens, TMDSF and a Wardog floating around the house and in different packs.

Between the Warden and the HRLM would be great!

I dont know the weight of the 411 but it feels lighter than the 511. The 411 is definitely balanced different than the 511 and the muddy grips has some nice jimping on top.

511 is 6.75 oz.
411 is 5.990 oz.

Comparison with the SS4...

I possess extraordinary strength of spine, because I have restrained myself from getting in on the 411.
It does look real good, but I have to control my urge to buy whatever the Yard puts up.

I was trying to explain it to my father last night...as we both have SS4's. The 4-11 is FAST, feels good (especially when choked up), has more belly than the SS4, a tad more length, and a drop point. It's really a bush-crafty alternative to the SS4, which, per its name, is much more designed as a fighter.

I will never part with the SS4...but I think the 4-11 will get more practical use.

PLUS, they both fit the leather pouch sheath that Jeff made for the SS4. The 4-11 will not fit the kydex or drop legs that I have though...as the guard protrudes too much.

If there was one thing I might modify...it would be the guard. It might prove useful, but I could probably live without it also.

I can't wait for this thing to get here! I love what I'm hearing so far!

got around to making a sheath for the 411 today. not too shabby for only my second attempt with kydex. i'd like a little more definition, but the retention is good. a few more of these and i should have them down pat <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

Looks good. I think having less definition and retention in the top only is a good thing. Less potential for dirt and grit to wear on the coating.

I like a sheath that covers the blade but doesn't wear on the knives coating.

Mine got charged last week and i just got my shipping notice a few minutes ago. I love getting those emails from Renee. Makes you smile. You know in a couple of days you'll be racing to the mailbox to get that package.

I ordered my 411s almost a week after they came up. And i ordered my 1311s within minutes of it going up. Im surprised that i will get my 411s first.

they are doing something differently this time, who knows, maybe training new employees but there appears to be no tie in with when the orders were placed or when they are shipped/charged. Oh well, end result will be the same we will all eventually have them, I just have what is possibly my last camping trip of the year coming up and really wanted this blade for the trip... oh well, I may still get lucky who knows

Ordered the 1311's 8/27, and 411's 9/8. Makes me think they are combining the shipping when possible?

Came home to a box from Mashed Cat, a beautiful pair of kydex pants for my 1311, and then find a notification of shipping from Renee for a 411. Today is a good day.

Looking good, I am loving the feel of my first mudders.

Just from the feel of the mudder resc I may have to get a second one before its to late.

He has pants, retention is excellent. I will be adding a teklok and a fire rod loop as soon as the rest of my supplies get here, I am waiting on chicago screws and tekloks.

Right in the blade were the edge is ground in how thick is your 411 my two are .003 of a inch. It makes for a really wide V edge on mine. I believe my 311 was only .0015 at the shoulder of the grind.

I don't have calapers yet GD but when the ones I ordered for reloading ill check it out and let you know.

My hunting buddies wife asked me what knife to order for her husband, and I reccommended the 411.
Told her that It may not get here in time for Christmas but that I would spot her one of mine and make a sheath for it allso.

If they are not to be made again I'll not only keep ahold of mine but wish I had got more when it was possible.

Recently, the Scrap Max(es), the 1311 and now the 411...all seem to be get them or wish you had creations.

I have yet to cut anything with mine but the edge profile seems OK to me... I will strop up the factory edge and start there.

Picked up another 411 from the exchange, in order to hook up my buddy for Christmas, Thanks Silverbullets!So my two are safe for now. Got his sheath made, pretty sure he will like it. Planning some archery Javalina hunts with him including an overnight ATV trip. Should be some good knife fun.

I was loking for a picture of the Scrapper 5 Combat Grade and the 411 side by side. I never had a chance to get the S5 and wanted to see what the difference was. I am pretty sure that I saw post before but can't seem to find it.

they'll honor it, it just takes time sometimes. remember ordering my 911 and it seemed forever to get it, but it came and was well worth the wait. on the flipside my order for the 711 came in 3 weeks total.

I'm looking forward to one, but my only hesitancy is that the 3/16 with saber grind may be too thick for slicing and the coating may cause too much friction. What is the 411 especially good at?

Good all-around blade. Easy to carry on the belt because of its small size. Length is short enough not to be cumbersome but long enough to do many camp chores and even field dressing game. It may be too big for dove or squirrel but not overly so. I have thicker knives that I have used successfully for kitchen prep so that should not be a problem unless you are a Sushi Chef. Convexing the edge would take care of that concern. The coating is not rough enough to cause me any problems and it can be stripped if necessary. And the best part is that the 411 has Mudder handles!

Depends, but generally, yes. They post the blades they'll be selling (or making a limited number of) with pics, specs, and prices. They set a date and a window of time. Jerry posts "GO! GO! GO!" in the Blade Forums Busse manufacturers thread, the Yard, the Swamp, or the Busse forum, and you feverishly hit "send" praying your email makes it in time to get the blade you want. With one offs, you might post your preferred blades in rank order with a "spend no more than" amount listed, and they go down the list getting your preferred blades (if still available) running down the list until either the list or the funds run out. Then you wait to see if you get a confirmation email saying you scored in the Ganza. Then you wait for an eternity until they are ready to ship. They usually offer payment options (PMO, Paypal, credit card, first born child) and (more recently) payment plans (pay it off over three months kinda thing). That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Kinda crazy, but in a fun, squirrelish sorta way.
