Well, I just spent $208.90 on a Swamp Rat custom order. The itch has been scratched for the time being. Too bad it took since April to scratch it.

Me too. The release of info has gotten more lacking lately. Dan doesn't seem to be as interactive with us as in the past...it's a shame. I know he's busy, but it just feels different. I probably just feel this way because it's been awhile since an original release / announcement....my guess is that the business model was changed to try and have a consistent lineup (ie: the 11 series) for customers to acquire. So, the "unique" offerings are even more scarce.

Dan was going to try out the test model while deer hunting, so I suspect a blade different from the Muk.

I had some birthday money.....but it's gone now.

Probably bought something frivolous like clothes.

The only sure thing in Bussekin land is if a knife is supposed to be come out on a certain day it won't. They even show up on the website only to be taken down a few hours later (Ratweiler). When they take your credit card number, that's the time to start getting excited!

We all know that Dan was testing out a new knife for deer season. He has to evaluate (Think about) the way the knife performed and make changes. This takes time. Then the changes must be evaluated, again this takes time.

Yes, it's frustrating not hearing. But we don't know what else (possible problems) Dan may be up against. Like Tom said, Keep the faith Brothers!

It seems that people have forgotten how the yard and all the kin work it's not like they are Kershaw small batch knifes can take longer to get out. It's human nature to itch and moan. We live in a now, now, now society. Kinda funny to me to read and sometimes participate in the impatientness. Bring it now, gosh darnit!

I can understand that, but the delay has helped me if it had come out last month I wouldn't have been able to get one. I am trying to curb my society based beliefs and "needs" to help myself prepare for the collapse.

Much of the anxiety resulted from Dan saying that news was forthcoming, but never did.

I got that but now we get the info and we still cry about it. I don't know it just seems like bad form. I don't want anybody to take this personally I am just putting it out there.

I have a LOT of knives, but when I'm told something by the #1 person I expect them to follow through. Most of us realize the importance of good communication. And keep in mind that I am the one who so often has preached "keep the Faith"!

It has been a while since the go ahead was given. What maybe "TWO WEEKS!"

I would like to believe that the delay is due to:
- getting the glamour shots up for the site.
- adding the code that would allow the new item.
- tying in a new order process that gives discount codes based on requirements met.

There seems to be a lot of back-end paper work required to handle some of the orders. The 1311 was forum member only... and those orders had to be verified manually for forum participation.

I would sure hope that the forum log-in could be used to get validation of the order process. That would save time for real work and not the headache of order post processing. Anything else is just lost productivity.

I just hope we see it before the end of the year, though I suppose Dan could change the cutoff date to 12/31/2014!
