For materials from nature, which do you prefer?
I am indifferent to be honest. I like the kydex for the stiffness, and how it weathers. I like leather because it feels good, bends, and is a natural strop in a pinch.

+1 leather, I'm old school.
Depends what Im doing. Everyday carry? Leather. Camping or hiking with a good chance of getting wet? Kydex or cordura.

I know that Kydex has it's advantages, but personally I like leather the best.

I prefer leather, but I have a couple of kydex sheaths that are pretty nice as well.

Cordura. The usually have a little pocket for stuff to be put in. However the greatest sheaths ever are the ones rainwalker made for DT. His pictues of them should be a sticky at the top of the page.

The most important thing with either one is taking a little time for care and maintenance. Leather can take a little more TLC, but if they're kept clean and dry they can last a life time.
