I have a doctors appointment Monday, and have to take the Mother-in-law to the doctor Tuesday! Grrrrrr.

B8 IS INNA HOUSE!!!!! WOOHOO! Man, it's lighter than I thought but I REALLY like the thickness. Serial #99, just made it into the double digits.

The FIRST thing it cut out of the tactical Busse Cardboard sheath was, wait for it; BACON! Patty was making potato soup and I cut up the bacon with it. Thanks for the Edge Beef!

Now I gotta see if I can find a temporary abode for it, and then arrange for more permanent housing.

It took some looking around and some swapping but I found the B8 a home. AND the knife It deposed also found a new residence, so everyone is happy.

Got mine today! Wow, serious grail material here. Can't wait to get out in the woods with this bad boy. Perfect grind, thickness, length, weight. Went outside and took out some limbs immediately....just to get a feel for it.

I have B8 #77 and #777 coming as soon as the SWATmanDu's with liners are ready. My brother chose B8 #100. Black handles on all 3. Can't wait for them to arrive!!! Should be THE perfect camp knife!

I think I'm gonna order that 8 inch spec ops sheath for my B8.

A few years ago I ordered a few United sheaths from Smoky Mountain; they fit my Team Geminis well, and I think they will work for the B-8's until I make leather pants for them.

Sometimes it's surprising how well some of the less expensive sheaths will fit and function with blades they necessarily weren't made for.

You should (If you haven't already) take a look at the Spec-Ops leather long sheaths. Might give you some ideas.

That's one of the reasons I study some of the "Pros'" work.

I doubt it. The last Kydex sheath I bought was for my Condor Moonshiner; $20.00 shipped from Texas. Hard to beat a sweet deal like that!

Boy I'll say. I'll need to send the knife JJ got me from Thailand to a Bender for a sheath. I just don't figure they will have a pattern for it laying around anywhere.

I'm sure any of the regular Kydex benders can make it for you, though it will co$t a little.

Yeah I'm sure it will. It came in a cheap leather sheath but I am afraid once I put an edge on it it will slice right through it.

I used to thing that a FFG would make a blade weaker, and maybe in some respects it is but boy do they look nice and cut good.

It's definitely better for cutting/slicing.

Got a few food stuffs. Got another 40oz water bottle and still waiting on the carrier. I'm gonna pick up another sawyer Mini for Pattys water bottle carrier.

Well besides the B8 thing. That took a BITE out of the funds. But at least my new rifle is only gonna cost me about $275 counting the tax and trade in of my Sig P220.

THEN I have to start getting mags for that. It never ends.

Those Sawyer Minis are nice...I have a couple myself. Of course I also have a few different models of Katadyns. We always pick up few extra cans of food whenever we go to the store.

We have to be careful with our canned goods. I threw out about a half dozen cans three weeks ago. WAY out of date and a couple had broken open and were dry.

Rotation is the key! However, the General isn't always ready to go down to the basement to do that.

Yeah, but we just got to much a while back and haven't used it up like we should. We've taken quite a bit to church for dinners and such and that helped cut down on the waste.
