Thick and Lean Cut Chophouses with a Skinner - 02/08/16 05:26 PM

My new Scrap Yard goodness in today.

Straight out of the box.

The Skinner has a thick blade for such a little thing but the distal taper starts up pretty early. The green coating looks sweet, it has a pebbled texture to it that might hinder how well it slices. I'll see how it works with the coating on but I could see it getting stripped pretty quickly. The mudder grip is fantastic as always.

Thick Cut sage and Lean Cut green side by side. I hadn't planned on keeping them both, I just wanted to have them both to compare. Little harder to decide now, if I had to pick right now I would probably go with the Lean.

Here's one of the Choppy's with the 911, 1111, and 1311. I've got a paper to write so no outside time for me or them just yet. Soon, my preciouses.

Great stuff. Thanks to Dan for getting these out to us. Thank you Renee for working with me changing my payment stuff around. One of you pat that Denny guy on the back for me if you would, he put an excellent edge on all of these.

Sure thing. Cross posting between forums but I know not everyone goes to both.

Here's the Skinner in hand. I wear L/XL gloves for reference.

Didn't have much time with it but it doesn't seem like there'll be any problem choking right up on these.

Someone pointed out the grind difference between the Thick and Lean Cut's, the grind starts much higher on the Thick Cut. I would bet that evens out the weight quite a bit but I don't have a scale that precise.

Edited it for ya Dawg using AZMHotdog's Hack. smile

Thanks for the help with the images. Funny, I posted pics in another thread and had the ?1 when I copied one of them in, but not the other. Now I know what to look for at least!
