My weekly big project is mowing the grass! There are plenty of little things to work on around the house though.

Oh man, I LOVE that Rat Fink Sheath! Oh and the knives are pretty nice as well. And really nice vine work on the other one.

Re: Summer Project? - 04/23/20 09:53 AM

Thank you; the "vine work" is actually oak leaves and acorns.;)

Well DUH. Didn't mean to insult you. Once I looked closer it is VERY apparent what they are. Got a Cataract in one eye and things are blurry out of the other unless I try "Concentrate" real hard.

Oh the shame of a misspent youth. Rat Fink was an ICON in the late middle part of the last Century.

Geeze Tom. Next thing you know he'll be asking who MR. NATURAL was! wink

I keep my power hand tools in a set of lockers discarded by Home Depot.

Re: Summer Project? - 04/30/20 04:32 AM

Here about two weeks ago Patty and I went on a marathon cleaning session of the garage/hoarder room. Went to Menards and bought some heavy duty (rated at 750 pounds, 150 per shelf) plastic shelving. We got three units with each one having 5 shelves. When we got back we only needed 4 high so we wound up with three full units of 4 shelves each and one with only 3 shelves. Well Monday I had to go back to town and stopped by Menards again. Was looking around and saw a SINGLE all by it's lonesome shelf setting in front of a 5 shelf display. Well I took it to one of the help desks and told the lady what I had found and where, and that we needed just one single shelf to have 4 complete 4 shelf units. She asked me to show her. I took her over and showed her where it was laying and she said it must have been an extra and I could just have it!

I would show you me doing my happy dance but I wouldn't want Y'all to go blind. grin

Oh and this week we tackled the Storage shed. A friend from Church took everything we were going to get rid of (2 10 ft. trailer loads) of stuff for a yard sale! Helped us both out. They can use the money and we got rid of our overflowing shed. Win Win!

Don't worry, Baptists can't dance. Which in this case IS a good thing. grin

Re: Summer Project? - 04/30/20 10:06 PM

That's OK, I'm not a Baptist but I can't dance either! LOL smile

Real nice work on those sheath Tom

Re: Summer Project? - 05/05/20 10:32 AM

Thanks Bill. I'm working on a COVID - 19 sheath now. I'm waiting for a leather stamp due in the mail so that I can finish it. I'm thinking about using it for my KlinkHammer whenever Busse sends them out. Seems appropriate as they were both announced so closely together. LOL smile
