This Sunday the DB-322 - 03/03/22 02:40 AM

The Scrap Yard DB-322 sports an 8” blade and backs its strength with a .210” thick piece of SR-101. The flat saber grind begs to cut and the Resiprene C handle brings comfort with every swing.
Its looks call out the need to subdue objects in its way. This knife will find its home in the woods, workshop or as your dinner guest slicing that 4-inch-thick U.S. Prime steak!!!

Re: This Sunday the DB-322 - 03/03/22 07:33 AM

What's the reason for the humps on the spine I wonder. Are they purely aesthetic as I personally would find it cleaner looking without them and I'd imagine they are a nuisance for a sheath maker but maybe there is a good reason.

Re: This Sunday the DB-322 - 03/03/22 07:36 AM

That's my kind of knife! Hopefully I'll be quick enough to get them. Congrats Dan!
Would love to see 10" version in .35" stock as future offering if you accept requests 😁

Any chance for a close up shot to see the grind a bit better?

Man, that's one good looking blade! If I had the money I'd be all over that satin model!

As for the hump question above, it's a thumb stop for choking up on the blade using the choil. Once you use it, you begin to understand and appreciate it. Last thing you want when using your hand directly on the blade is for anything to slip grin

Re: This Sunday the DB-322 - 03/05/22 03:07 AM

I have to stop looking at this or I might do something really stupid. One kid in college, one going next fall, one more going in two years, and another one four years from now....

That satin model is REALLY calling to me though....

Anyone want to buy a rifle? grin

When you live where WE do, you pay attention to the weather. wink I will try to be on the computer if the weather permits, as I really want that satin DB-322.

Yeah, the wide open plains where Tom lives lets some really strong storms build up and come through.

Thanks. I get thumb ramps but it looked very far forward to me than anything else I have, plus 2 humps. I prefer jimping myself and a flat spine.

Re: This Sunday the DB-322 - 03/06/22 09:08 PM

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love one but I have several large blades to pick from. In my old age and extremely limited funds I am trying to limit myself to item we actually need/would use. After all, I don’t have uncle Tom’s money. wink
