Well, get yourself a United Country Real Estate catalog and start researching available acreages and prices in different states. Then start taking some road trips to check-out possibilities.

While my wife and I were looking through their catalog, she pointed out that there was some fairly cheap land in states like Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Montana to name a few. I simply said NO!!! I lived in Minnesota for three years, and it was the coldest I have EVER been in my life! The milder climate of S/W Missouri was more to my liking, and I have never been happier.
