I've focused on the Rainwalker sheath because, if you've seen one SS4, you've seen them all. The sheath, however, is as nice as any I own. The workmanship is great and the sheath fits the knife very well. To say it was worth the wait would be an understatement. Thanks Jeff!

Hey I'm glad to see you got it and your very welcome.

The US mail has really been on my side this week... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

The SS4 is a great Blade, glad I could help with some suitable pants... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Sweet sheath Willie!

That Jeff is one heck of a sheathmaker.

I am always impressed with all the sheaths I have gotten from him.

As a matter of fact I can say that they are the finest sheaths I own.

Great choice Will!!

Peace.

Willieoboy & Rainwalker,

That sheath looks about perfect for the SS4.

The photos are a little large, but very nice photos. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I couldn't help, I had to scale them down and clean them up a bit. Gorgeous sheath and photos!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

The details look to be VERY clean and well done. The fit and finish especially around the guard look great!

How is the knife retained? Is it friction fit on the blade or at the guard area?
Please describe how it goes in and out and is retained.

How much does something like that cost?

Thanks for shrinking the pictutes Knifeguy. I don't know why my pictures sometimes come out so large. You can check out the prices for Rainwalkers sheaths on his site: www.rainwalkercreations.com.

I guess you'd say it's a friction fit. The knife snaps into the sheath and is held in place at the guard. There are no rattles.

Good luck.

Re: New SS4 & Rainwalker Sheath - 09/13/07 08:11 PM

KnifeGuy, I guess Bill pretty much covered it.

I make them to hold at the handle (friction fit) and not the blade, but a good enough fit to prevent blade rattle... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
