I don't need one I have a YKLE which at first I did not like but once I sharpened it I learned to love it. I am definitly getting one on general principals though.

How about a line item we can add to the cart that is $5, but only dogs know what it is? Then we can add the specifics in the comment box. Then the correct amount will feed to Paypal, etc.

I'm still glad I got a HR. This design in all of its variations by Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard is very useful and compact. Nine inches of hunter, hiker, camper, survival, and utility knife for a fair price in the toughest steel you can buy! Having used the LE model and the HR, I am very impressed with this simple design. I like them better than similar sized knives costing much more. This knife will be very light and easy to carry, but still strong enough for extreme use. Being thinner than the YKLE, it will be easier to hand sharpen. This will be a real slicer, with the flat grind. A great knife for campouts and picnics.

Sweet! I think this is going to be a great little blade. The YKLE is already pretty good, however now with a 3/16 inch full height grind it's going to be an outstanding little slicer.

I seem to remember several dogs asking just such a knife. It is good to know that Dan listens to his loyal customers. Even though I don't need another Howler or Keeper, can't pass up this one. The little Howlers are great all-around knives.

Rain, will your sheaths for the DM also fit the YK? Thanks.

The Sage Mutt sheath does fit the YKLE although the YKLE blade is shorter too, however the DM and DMLE have a differnt handle so they don't fit perfectly. Since the YKCG will have a thinner blade I would suspect it might rattle in a Mutt sheath, but I won't no for sure until I have a YKCG in hand. I would imagine that it would fit fairly well in most cases.

That choil looks a bit small, Is it big enough for your finger?

Well if the pattern holds true, they release the DMLE then the DFLE then the YKCG so it would be a safe bet it is time for a larger blade, probably CG.... Just a guess

Sorry to cause you such extended frustration, Will. It's an old trick. Always look at the date of the original post and the number of responses. Dan has taken sick, so we don't know for sure when the next model will be announced. We sometimes "bump" old announcement threads on the night of a release or announcement just for fun.
