i really like this knife a lot.it is my first knife from the yard that isnt a sharpened prybar or a chopper which is cool even though i love big heavy blades.
looks like i can take my ontario rat-3 and throw it in a drawer.

the shirt kicks @#$.now i can represent the yard when i go to work.i've been 'repping busse for a while now and it would be nice if i could rep swamprat too.
why dont they have shirts???

here is some comparative shots of the CGDM the DMLE and the YK.watch out, that DMLE will blind ya,bling bling.

Nice!
How do you like the sheath for the YK? Does it seem too tight?

Thanks for trying, Vic. How do they look compared to each other? Any real noticeable differences besides the choil?

Yes, the YK is full flat ground. The HR is "almost" a full flat grind, leaving a little narrow section unground below the spine.

the sheath is nice and thick kydex which i like.as far as it being to tight??...
....yes,it is WAY to tight and i dont get how their supposed to be adjustable.i understand that i can loosen the chicago screw but then its just gonna fall out.

i have a heat gun and put some heat to the top of the sheath and then slide the knife in and out a few times but i have to be carefull not to give it to much heat.it needs just a tiny bit.you could also do it with boiling water or something but i wouldnt suggest it.

i havnt gotten any actual dirt time with one of these sheaths so i cant really judge it although i can tell that it is a good quality made sheath made from thick, heavy duty kydex.

it's tough just like the knife thats in it

I just want the sheath to be tough for now.
I'm not too into custom pants for my knives, but i will have to get some eventually.

yeah, some knives you just dont have a choice with.it wasnt until just recently that scrapyard started offering kydex sheaths.most knives come with no sheath or a crap sheath.

custom sheaths arent as bad as you would guess though.you can get a kydex sheath for a large fixed blade for around $25 last i checked.

I thought they were around 60?
well I know has haas some really good prices though, but I though that him and jeff had about the same prices... where are you looking at 25$ for a custom sheath for a big knife?
(you can PM me if you want)
