My DMDC has arrived!!

Hello all, just received my DMDC in the mail. It is bigger than I expected and feels great in the hand. It didn't come very sharp, but I can remedy that. The DC finish is very nice, smooth and consistent. I think I have a new woods pal.

Also, I ordered a kydex sheath with my blade but it wasn't included in the box. My past Scrapyard blades have always had the sheath in the same shipment. From everyones experience, should I contact Dan and Patti or wait for a separate shipment?

That means mine should be here in a day two. That's a good looking knife. I just read a test over on BF by Noss on the Chris Reeve Green Beret. It broke in half while he was hammering it with a 3 lb. steel mallet! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> S30V is a good steel, but not as tough as S7 shock steel. So, think of the DMDC as better than a $300 knife for $80. Glad I never used my GB. I wouldn't have taken a steel mallet to it anyway.

Check the invoice that came with the knife. I ordered a YKCG and small kydex sheath at the same time. The sheath wasn't in the box. Patti had hand written BO (back ordered) beside the sheath on the invoice. The sheath came a couple of weeks later.

Recon! Quicksdraw got one of yours! Time for a head clearing motorcycle ride eh?

There actually was no invoice in the box, as I was going to look for the same thing. I emailed Patti. I'm sure it will work out. They are probably busy as hell!

Horn Dog: It would be wise to never subject the Green beret to this type of use as I found out. A scrapyard on the other hand I would and I will be 99.999% that a SR-77 scrapyard knife will not fail me. This is true user confidence.

Now I would use my own scrapyard hard if I could get one. Unfortunately for me, my new DMDC is at my house..... and I am not. I won't get to see it for another few days. My wife sent me a txt msg that it had arrived. Now I have to wait until Friday to see it!!!! But on the plus side, I know it is there waiting for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. My 3rd Scrapyard in 3 months, now if I can just work courage to part with the cash for a aftermarket SS4 (or a release from the yard)

Yaa just 5. Actually two for my brother and two for me. 1 was extra. They are sweet. I took one out today and beat the tar out of it on some dry oak. Not quite enough weight for a true chopper. But I got thru it.

Since the next offering might be soon, and I'll be up in VA doing some training for 19 days starting Wednesday, could someone help me out (as several posters have said is OK) if they are offered in that time period? I was holding out for a Dogfather but since I've been informed that that will probably not be offered again, I want A scrapyard knife, and that DMDC looks mighty sexy.

I'm hoping that mine arrive soon; my order number was sub-2900 and my charge card was dinged (through PayPal) on 3/10, so I figure my order ought to be in the first batch. I frequently received packages on the same day they first get posted on the forum, but not this time. It seems counter-intuitive, but it may take longer to ship from OH to IN than from TX to IN, or it could just be that mine didn't go out on the first day; perhaps tomorrow...

My DMDC arrived yesterday as well and I love it. I wish I would have scored a DM a long time ago. I'll definitely be out to get in on the second batch when they are released.

Mailman just left. No DMDC yet. Probably be tomorrow or Thursday. I have a trout fishing trip coming up the middle of May. I was going to take my YKCG but I think I'll take the DMDC instead and see how it holds up to getting wet everyday. I doubt it'll make a good knife to clean fish with but we'll see.
