also surprising.. Busse stuck to the BadMojo MSRP of $227! for CG.
i couldn't believe it!

There's no hoping on Busse shop orders. If you placed an order, you'll get your knife. It just may be March, April, or May before you do.

That BATAC is a good deal, INFI wise, for only $227. Heck, that's the price of a lot of Game Wardens.

That's not too far from what Game Wardens sold for originally on BCS?

So, I just popped over ther and looked at the BA. I don't know if I like that tac handle. I love the rope micarta on my AK.
I am also thinking, 227 will buy a couple of dog fathers, just about.
but, a tan/tan would match my tan/tan AK.
the muddy game warden looked kind of cool, as well.

From pics alone i think i prefer previous gen BA-3 & BA-E.

But when i saw the $227 price.. i pulled the trigger!

you know.. I bought my Swamp HRLM as a consolation for not getting in 1st SS4 Offer..
I didn't think i'd like that HRLM.. but i've come to Really LIKE it now!


so.. maybe same thing will happen with BA-TAC..

$227 is a good price but I have a SJTac and I don't like the handle.

The SJTac has a good size, it is well ballenced but when I grab it, it just doesn't feel right.

I'll pass on the BATac.

I expect the Dog father to be available soon, probably shipping some time next week. ~Two weeks to have a Dog Father in your hand or a Busse "two weeks" to get a badger.

When you are chopping away with your Dog Father, be sure to ask Busse owners when is your Badger coming?

I want a DF way more than a BA TAC but if I did not already have an INFI SS4 I might feel different.

I think in the end I'll buy around five badgers. I'm not fond of the looks of the TACs but Jerry is such a good designer that I'd bet once it is in my hand I'll feel different about it. Also the size makes for a perfect user. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

What about the handle do you guys not like? It looks similar to Swamp Rat M6 and HRLM.

My M6 and SJTAC feel very similar. They don't fit my hand well.

This has to be a subtle thing, the SF handle is fairly similar but feels much better.

That is why I don't have those either...I don't like that handle design. The ScrapYard is where it's at! Also the FBM and the new big chopper from the swamp will be the only ones I buy. The Swamps choppers have a different handle, I am all about it!

I've come to really like my HRLM handle.. so I'm looking forward to trying out the BA-TAC too!

I hate the fusion handles. I Traded my FSH because it wore blisters on my hand so quick. I also refused to buy an FBM because of the handles.

The "Tac" handles.....I had a few to try at different times...and they all have left my ownership. I really don't like them, they just feel funny. I really like the Straight handles and Fusion handles.....The Ergo were ok, never really got into them like the fusion, but certainly better than the Tac.

I love the HRLM handle. Now if I could get a BA (5") infi blade on a HRLM handle that would be my woods carry knife forever. Or until the next one comes along. I have ordered a BATAK but I have a SJTAK and I find the handle too long and too thin. I would get the magnum handles but I love the snakeskin. LE too much money. Oh well.
