heard or read somewhere(I think?, maybe a dream <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> ) that we might see a Scrapper 7 in the near future <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> . O-yeah sounds real sweet. What's the deal here fellow dogs?

I think that is what people here would like to see, not a reality at this time. Maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will chime in.

The S7 is a certainty ,the only question is when.

It is simply to good of a concept with to many eager buyers to not make.
The strange thing is it has not been made already. Maybe after the run of small stainless knives we will get a big batch of black unmarked CG S7's for 109$, with a tan one for Roo.

More like Green and Black Handles. My favorite color combo besides all sage.

Dan's made several Tan versions of Scrappers too, without it having any affect on the price.

I don't mind "cheap". Makes me think I am getting a real bargain.

Preaching the truth right there. I mostly concerned with being able to beat the crap out of the knives.

PK, can we get a POLL going for the Scrapper 7?
Not sure how to poll it at this stage. Maybe some options like.
7 or 7.5" blade, satin or coated, thickness, color etc. Just a thought <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

A Poll would be great, to get it kinda finalized, lol

bld522 is the "pollmaster" - you might ask him. However, as a prototype already exists and has been displayed at Blade, I don't know that it would have much affect.

I don't like tantos so much...

A tanto does have a very strong point.. Handy on something with a 6 or 7 inch blade!

tanto points are like any other, they can be strong, or weak.
it just depends really, like any other tip.

they do have advantages/differences just like any other blade shape though.
(for example, both cutting surfaces are straight, and you can sometimes have more straight edge)

Well, the American tanto is the one that has both cutting surfaces straight. A true Asian tanto is one that is actually a Spanto, but more angular at the tip.

The one on the Tali-whacker is an Asian inspired tanto derived from the Japanese Katana. Up swept blade with a subtle transition of grinds.

I think the whackers were an awesome overrun and I wish at that time I knew about Busse.

yeah, but american Tanto's are what people are mostly talking about.

you don't see too many realy tantos anymore, even though they are such a great design.

Workking on roofs these past weeks has made me want a blunt chisel tipped yk sized work knife with a nail puller to.

Bob Lum (RIP) was the one the really brought in the true tanto. It's true you don't see any of the real tantos, but there have been many variations.

Well, those are actually shorter than the RTAK.

I want a Battle Rat in INFI. I can't even get near a battle rat without getting that little feeling, like when I was 9 looking at a gal I had a crush on.
