The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight - 07/18/08 04:41 PM

I saw it last night with some friends, directly after seeing Hellboy 2, which I enjoyed. After Batman, I pretty much forgot I saw Hellboy. Easily one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. I really don't know what to compare it to.

It was pretty amazing. Heath Ledger as the joker was awesome. I honestly didnt know what he was going to do from one moment to the next since he played it so well. Still have not seen Hellboy 2 but I am looking foward to it.

I'll wait for both to come out on DVD.

I sat and crawled within myself (at home) last knight( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ) at midknight (<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) because I wanted to go see it so bad!

I can't wait to see Dark Knight. I'm sure I will see it once or twice for sure on the big screen.

The Dark Knight was awesome. My wife and I saw it this afternoon. We we're both entertained and came away satisified which is something that rarely happens at the movies.

exactly, it's like eating a big steak. you want more, but you're also full and happy with what you had.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 02:15 AM

this movie was awesome!! the character development was superb, casting as well, script wasn't bad, action was top notch, the story is what really got me, how they protrayed the Joker....awesome job.
since I've been home I've seen: Indy, Wanted, Hancock, and Dark Night and have been really happy with all of them.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 02:58 AM

I can't wait to see it!

I thought Batman Begins just narrowly missed being an awesome movie.
It had all the ingredients they just did not mesh.
I thought at the time that what it needed was a really good villian to focus on.

I am going to rent the Crow tonight and go tomorrow to The Dark Night.
The reason for watching the crow is the similarity between Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger's deaths and the relationship between the 2 movies.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 03:11 AM

They kinda look similar, but what's the similarity in the death's?
Posted By: Unsub

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 05:18 AM

Brandon Lee the star of the crow died just before the film wrapped and they finished it off with clever editing. Heath Ledger died right around the same time as well. They were both their best work. The crow was also a comic book adaption.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 06:26 AM

That's not what I was thinking. The way they died was, but that will do.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 06:41 AM

I saw The Dark Knight tonight and the Joker was amazing. It was really Heath Ledger's movie and VERY well done. I believe that Heath deserves a post-humas Academy award for his role in this movie... he was perfect.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/19/08 09:00 AM

I think Brandon had a mysterious heart attack like his Dad but I am not sure.
Heath had a drug overdose.

Brandon Lee died of a gun shot wound, there was suppose to be blanks in the gun, but there was a round in it. This was during filming for the second Crow flick.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/20/08 12:26 AM

Just got back from the show and it was as good as they say.
It was the first time I found the joker scary on film.
He was better than Jack.

OOP's I thought I was one the sharo edge thread answering Steelfan's question about companion blades but everyone enjoys Bussepron.

I love companion blades. Here is a great set in my favourite colour combo.

The GW makes a near perfect companion ,the skinnier the better.

Doesn't this look great.

Dark Knight rocked.
My Wife even loved it.
Although, to me, the best part of the whole thing was the previews of....
THE WATCHMEN!

I just got done watching a cam of dark night. It was pretty good quality. I still plan to see it in thearters.

Heath did a great job as the joker. I really like the style of filming and how it seems more seriouse. Not like when george cloonie ( spelled right?) and val kilmer played batman.

Now to wait for the new terminator to come out.

I stand corrected.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/21/08 05:18 PM

I thought Val was an OK actor with a terrible script.
Clooney could play a fantastic Bruce Wayne(because he is pretty much Bruce Wayne) but not Batman. The bat nipples were just awful. What the heck were they thinking?

The new Termanator looks god and I like the TV show but #3 was awful and I will watch almost anything with hot female combat robots ,cyborgs or genetically modified killing machines. For example Star Trek Enterprise ,Mutant X and my fave Dark Angel all had hot super babes who went into heat like cats!

It sounds silly but that would stop a unit of male soldiers faster than any enemy fire would. We have some soldiers here. What would you do if your unit ran into a group of Jessica Alba clones all in heat? Maintaining discipline would be a challenge to say the least.

If you get a chance to check out Gotham Knights which is the the Dark Knight what animatrix was to the matrix. It is not bad and is at least worth the download.

Re: The Dark Knight - 07/21/08 06:26 PM

i saw it. some of those cartoons were pretty good. i'm glad they stuck with the old batman voice. christian bale's dark voice doesn't work very well all the time. "i'm not wearing hockey pads" sounded like he had swallowed glass.

I'm going to watch DK, is it close to the Miller comic?

On the knives, don't tell me that you own two of the most beautiful rats ever made, I almost went for the Weiler years ago but even during a ganza it was too much.
