Wanna hear about my bad day?

How'sm this for a bummer.
We are having company this afternoon. That means, I can't play with my LE all day, and the wife tells me I should put it away for awhile. GADS!
To make matters worse, we may be gouing out to lunch, which means I cannot play with my other two new dogs all afternoon, my little sheltie pups.
My solution is not to have company, but I seem to be outvoted. life just is not fair.

Well roo - just roll with the punches. Once your wife sees what a good sport you are, she shouldn't object to your spending more time with the LE and the pups.

Just fondle them both when you get a chance and it will make you forget all the bad in your day..... remember: a bad day at work is always better than a good day in prison.

Company has left.
Puppies were a big hit. everyone likes a little dog. I never actually removed the scrapper, just changed it's location to the arm of my side of the couch.
The unobservant houseguests never looked twice at it.
Of course, the pups were little angels while the people were here, then peed on the floor within minutes of them leaving.

Roo - glad to hear that the day turned out OK. Isn't it amazing how puppies seem to know when to turn on the charm, then turn into little PIA's a little later!?!

rooikat...I am looking at getting me and honeybear a new puppy...one of my neighbors has boxers and they just had a litter of the CUTEST puppies...2 of them are almost pearl white...Trying to talk him down some on the price though!

My company doesnt bat an eye every since they tripped over my homemade AK laying in pieces on the floor and me sitting on the couch with a 5ft Red tail boa wrapped around me!

I know what you are talking about Leatherface. We don't get much company out here, and when we do it's usually one of the neighbors. It's nothing unusual for me to have a few knives, a pistol or two, and a box or two of ammo on the kitchen table, along with a pitcher of iced tea. As it is just the wife and I, this does not present any safety problems such as having kids around. Life is good!

About the little puppies being PIA's, my new fellow hasn't quite grasped the idea outside is his toilet......I take him out for 10 minutes in the morning before school and when I go back in.....what does he do.....leaves a yard dog scrap on my floor!

He loves ya' man!

.....If someone left that on my floor, I wouldn't call it love!

Hey dogg - that is a nice looking cat. We have had indoor and outdoor cats, and the biggest problem indoors is of course cleaning out the litter pan.

We have never found one of our dogs drinking from the toilet, but we keep a good supply of water on hand at all times. The dogs let us know when someone is outside, whereas the cats could care less.

Our pups discoverd our cat tonite- chased the poor bastard around until he remembered he could climb and got on top of my bookcase.

klink- oddly enough, what you described is exactly what I had out before I had to put my stuff into hiding: my scrapper, my AK, and my satin rat, as well as a 686, my kahr, and a pitcher of homemade iced tea. I had been debating switching from the kahr to the 686 for repelling boarders, and as a result had all my ammo strewn about being reorganized and prioritized, as the puppies helpfully nibbled off the corners of the ammo boxes. As I have moved it all into a couple of .50 ammo cans, the corner nibbling will probably end pretty soon.

We have 3 cats, and a dog. All indoors.

Roo - the ammo cans are great! They are practically bomb-proof, so whatever you store in them will be well protected. I have a few of the larger cans that I use for copies of important papers, such as birth certificates, insurance papers, etc. These are in my storm shelter, with originals in a bank safety deposit box. Andy - we are down to three dogs now, and five cats by our old house. Fortunately, they all get along well.

That's Justin's glass/AlOx bead-blast -- my favorite finish -- i can get away with it since it's so dry here -- and get this, that's actually a RD7! I thought he sent me an RD9 by mistake when i got it, so i measured it and it's actually about 8 inches of sharp blade -- so i guess i got a couple free inches <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> i'm sure not complaining...

GF -- happy birthday to your wife! That's a great present, how's she like it? I have a Little Bird in the works, should be done by early in October... get this, it's going to have YELLOW G-10 scales! i saw someone else's with the yellow and i about wet myself it looked so freakin' cool.

Roo -- Poor kitty, that's hellarious, it's funny that in the heat of the chase they forget such fundamentals as their ability to go vertical... i guess that's what happens when your brain is the size of a walnut (i ought to know!)

A RD8? My full flat grind RD9 is actually 9.5", I might have to send them back to him to get that finish ...that is nice! I never have seen the yellow G10 only the orange micarta. Send Pictures!!!!

I just measured my Rd9 and it measures 9-91/4" from the end of the choil to the tip and measures 10" from the end of the scales to the tip..

TKC - That Shiba Inu is a cool little dog - like a miniature Akita. The reddish colored ones look a lot like a fox and are gorgeous.
